Disney's Donald Duck Phantomias ist ideal für jüngere Spieler, da die Aufgaben wirklich einfach zu meistern sind. Es gibt zwischendurch viele Tipps und der Comic-Stil spricht jüngeres Publikum perfekt an. Ob jung oder alt, wer auf Donald steht und vielleicht nur dann und wann den Würfel unter Strom setzt, wird von diesem Spiel sehr angetan sein.

Phantomias ist zwar ein grundsolides, abwechslungsreiches und ansehnliches Jump&Run, aber störende Ruckler und der hohe Preis lassen nicht die Begeisterung aufkommen, die noch die halb so teure und technisch bessere PS2-Version hinterließ - daher ziehen wir 10% von der Gesamtwertung ab. Für das Geld bieten Mario, Crash & Co einfach wesentlich mehr. Trotzdem sorgen die durchgestylten Cel Shading-Abschnitte und die fordernden Schuss-Wechsel für Spielspaß. Nur kleine Kameraprobleme und die etwas magere Ausbeute an Gegnertypen sind spielerisch zu bemängeln. Und Eltern aufgepasst: Kindgerecht sind nur die ersten Abschnitte, danach sind Profis gefordert.

Gut gemacht! Donald Duck – Phantomias ist das perfekte Geschenk für jüngere Zocker, Gelegenheits-Jump´n´Run-Spieler und Disney-Fans. Zum Zeitpunkt des Erscheinens waren die 30 Euro Preisunterschied zur PS2-Version ein guter Grund für jeden Gamecube-Besitzer, direkt im Laden einen cholerischen Anfall zu bekommen, der selbst Donalds Eskapaden in den Schatten stellt. Doch glücklicherweise hat sich der Kurs für gebrauchte Games inzwischen auf einem normalen Niveau eingependelt, so dass Entenhausen-Fans günstig zuschlagen können. Insgesamt gesehen ist das Spiel, trotz geringem Umfang und einem relativ simplen Gameplay, ein gelungener Genre-Vertreter, der vor allem durch seinen kultverdächtigen Protagonisten für Spaß vor dem Fernseher sorgt.

C'est un jeu bien moyen que voilà. Plus on y joue plus on découvre ses limites et c'est bien dommage. Mais avec un gameplay aussi étriqué et une réalisation un peu juste, il est loin de pouvoir concurrencer son modèle.

As you can see, Disney's PK: Out of the Shadows is not big on variety. There are different levels in this game, but they all play exactly the same! Sure, the level changes, but the mission does not. Run around, jump a few dozen times, shoot every enemy in sight, and when all is said and done, you get to do it all over again. And again. And yet again, until you're blue in the face.

Jeu de plate-forme classique dans le style de Rayman, ce Donald ne casse pas trois pattes à un canard. Ennemis répétitifs (seulement deux boss), durée de vie très faible (on le finit en une journée), gestion douteuse des caméras... Donald est le genre de jeu que l'on regrette d'avoir acheté et que l'on range vite dans un coin.

PK just doesn't prove a worthwhile diversion for any serious gamer. Give it to a three-year-old kid who doesn't know his hand from his heiney and he'll be pleased as punch, but anyone who understands the intricacies of modern development will be most chagrined. There just isn't any polish here, or anything much that could be polished to a fine shine for that matter, because it's an obscure title made with minimal resources based on a license no American has even heard of. Let's see. Gameplay. Graphics. Replay value. One, two, yep … three strikes, yer outta here!

Playing Disney's PK was a rewarding experience in one way, at least -- I got a chance to find out who PK was, and in turn ponder the mystery of how a goofy-looking duck superhero would become such a big deal in Italian comicbooks. But the game itself did very little for me, and that would probably go for most of you as well. It's as generic as action games come today, and in such a crowded market, you don't have to settle for something like this.

I’m pretty sure I don’t fit the target demographic for Disney’s PK: Out of the Shadows, but one hardly needs to be in a target demographic to judge a game’s quality, or lack thereof. A younger gamer with little gaming experience could be amused by this game for a while but there really are other GameCube games suitable for younger gamers that would provide a better overall experience. While the game does feature some nice graphics, its repetitive gameplay, repetitive level design, and lack of replay value, PK is at best a mediocre “kid’s game”. If you really need to keep your kids occupied for a few hours with something Disney, you’re probably better off with a Disney movie.

Ultimately, Disney's PK: Out of the Shadows is a game that would have ended up being much better if more effort had been put into the overall design, but as it stands, it seems to have been thrown together just to be a product on the shelf. There are many other games in this genre that you'd be better off spending your time with. Unless playing poorly made games is your pastime, avoiding this game is highly suggested.
