Konductra definitely isn’t for everyone. It’s a game more accustomed to hardcore players who really crave a challenge. For these people, Konductra should be right up their alley.

While I won't say that Konductra is destined to be a classic, it is still one of the most enjoyable puzzle games I've played to date. The principle is simplistic, but the overall mechanics are difficult to master and that is, to me at least, key. If you like puzzle games and can live with a minimalist approach to presentation, I'd highly recommend Konductra for all your single and multiplayer needs.

Konductra is an exciting release from oeFun that is standard enough to be appealing to a mass audience while still containing a few unique touches that show off the benefits of its independent development cycle. While the game design is initially hard to understand, it’s a rewarding system that offers enough difficulty to sate the appetites of even the hardest puzzle buffs. Despite a few quirks in the overall package, Konductra is still a solid purchase.

Konductra is a surprisingly entertaining and unique game. As a game it’s entertaining to play, complex enough to keep you interested, but simple enough to play without trouble. The presentation could stand some polish, some more extras would have been nice, and single cart multiplay would have extended the life of the experience somewhat, but as it is, Konductra stands as one of the better puzzlers on the DS. oeFun should be proud of their freshman effort, and if they continue to deliver such good games, they’ll definitely have a long life in the business.

Konductra is a fun little puzzle game, but ultimately it comes down to a question of value. $30 for a barebones package that doesn't have nearly the addictive qualities or visual panache of other games in its genre is a bit steep. And the gameplay may be a bit too complicated for those who prefer their puzzlers more straightforward. However, at a cheaper price, puzzle games fans will be able to get quite a bit of fun out of Konductra.

Konductra's potential loses some charge in the conversion to kinetic, leaving you with a slower and duller play experience than you'd expect from a lightning-themed game. The aspects of the game that embrace that pace are satisfying, and fans of thoughtful, task-oriented brainteasers will find a lot to like here Âż but fast and frenetic puzzle action is better found in other DS titles.

The game could have benefited from a slick presentation, but the graphics, music and voice work are all bottom of the barrel. It's too bad the demo sharing isn't available and good luck finding someone to play against online.

Konductra's greatest asset is its tutorial, although the pleasant voice-over can't compensate for the game's unrewarding gameplay. It's got a decent premise, but the entire package does just the bare minimum to get by, and numerous Web sites offer better puzzle games for free, let alone for a $30 price tag. Nothing feels quite right in Konductra. Not only will you not get addicted, but you're not going to have much fun, either. 1
