Ten years from now, we're confident that you'll still be seeing Eledees in Top Ten Wii Games lists as it just couldn't be done on any other console and perfectly captures what is exciting about the innovative hardware, whilst also carving out a strong personality of its own. Eledees is what's known as an instant classic and if you believe the naysayers, and overlook this little gem, you'll be missing out on one of the most original, charming and absolutely spellbinding games of the decade.

Elebits is well worth the money you'll spend on it. It's quirky, fun, and has a lot of replay value. This one is definitely a must-buy for Wii owners.

Endlich. Genau so.

In the end, the goods far outweigh the few bads. Elebits proves to be one of the few unique Wii titles that make the system worth owning in it's early life. It's originality, uniqueness, and ease of control with an first person setup make it a game every Wii owner should pick up.

At the end of the day, Elebits is fun because it tries something new. Tossing things around in the air and demolishing bedrooms and kitchens is more fun than it ought to be, and the controls in the game are usually spot-on. Occasional frustration exists in the form of random glitches with the pointer device, but these problems are rare. The visual presentation is solid, if not attractive, and the audio is terrific, complete with pleasant and enjoyable background music. Most players will be pleased with the game, and it’s nice to see Konami supporting the Wii and trying to push gameplay in new directions.

Elebits is one of those titles that’s so Japanese that it’s surprising to see it come stateside. It’s got a ridiculously absurd story, a unique control scheme, and somewhat odd gameplay mechanics, but it winds up working out very well. It’s an engaging and entertaining trip through a suburban town filled with the tiny titular creatures. Elebits is an excellent showcase for the Wiimote, as it’s truly a game that couldn’t be done on another system. There are a few times when the control can be an issue (mainly when opening doors), but the overall experience certainly makes it a worthwhile title.

If you're looking for a visual stunner, Elebits is not for you. But if you just want a really fun outing that's every bit as original as it is engaging, I think Elebits is your game. This title is destined for sleeper status.

We're impressed by Eledees' originality and thorough use of the Remote. The game's all about interaction and the way it connects you with the gaming world is ingenious and engrossing. Eledees has its fair share of faults but if you've bought the Wii in search of fresh, original gaming experiences, this is a pretty good start.

Every few levels do something a bit different, like instruct you not to smash more than a certain number of items - once you fill up the meter it's game over. There there are anti-gravity levels where everything is just floating around over your head. Neither is as good as just being able to tear everything apart against the clock, but you can see why there's some variation. After all, even rock stars get tired of smashing up hotel rooms eventually.

If only for how well it uses the Wii’s controller and for how much fun anyone can have with it, Elebits is a must have. I would easily place it among the Wii’s top five games at this point. But if you are not sure about the kiddie premise, rent it. I am sure you will have so much fun that you will want to buy it.

A mecùnica "esconde-esconde", aparentemente, parece cansativa.

A must-play, but not necessarily a must-buy. Elebits is wonderful in its execution of an original idea. But like most original ideas in the gaming world, it is not free of repetition. This isn’t the kind of game you’ll want to finish all in one sitting. It’s short enough to do so, but you’ll enjoy it a lot more if you spread it out over several days (or a couple weeks).

The game can be annoying at times--opening doors is almost always a hassle, for example--and the limited time you have to find the Elebits makes things a little hairier than necessary but this is still one of the more original and fun titles available for the Wii.

There's nothing offensive in the game at all but smaller or easily frustrated kids might have problems with the control mechanics. Using the Wii remote to open doors, lift objects, and navigate a house can be a bit frustrating. Weigh this against the lack of violence combined with the fun of turning a house upside down (your kids will be able to fling all kinds of furniture around, and break the breakables, during their virtual search) combined with a cute environmental lesson about power conservation and what you have a is a very innovative, unique, and charming hide-and-seek simulation for the home.

As mentioned Elebits takes full advantage of the Wii control scheme and runs with it, distancing itself from the collection of rushed ports available at launch. It's not a particularly long game, but it is addictive and fun. I'm not quite sure it will have the longevity of quirkier titles like Katamari Damacy for example, as it sort of reminds me of Toy Commander for the Dreamcast; interesting premise and cool gameplay, but looking back on it in a year or two, you'll be saying "meh". For now though Elebits is here, it's unique to the Wii and it is fun to play. Alone.

You'll come away from Elebits with an interesting mix of reactions. The motion controls are nicely done, and the puzzle nature of the levels can be quite addictive. But as cool as Elebits can be, it's rarely the game part of it that really stands out. Elebits' technology is what drives it--the combination of the motion controls and the hearty physics engine turns what is, in essence, a pretty simple kids' game into something greater than the sum of its parts. It's certainly not going to be for everyone, but any Wii owner on the hunt for something new and original would do well to give it a look.

It has little depth. It has simplistic gameplay and minimalist visuals. It reminds me a lot of the Nintendo DS’s Yoshi Touch & Go, another “tech demo” that came out shortly after the DS launched and showed something fresh that the handheld could do. Still, darnit, Elebits is a good, fun game. In fact, it’s absolutely, brilliantly perfect for the younger ages, especially kids that just get a kick out of making a mess. It is accessible and enjoyable for adults as well, though. I don’t know how Konami did it, but they took my least favorite chore of finding things and made it into a fun virtual experience. If you’ve got a Wii, give this cute game a shot.

As it stands, Eledees is still very solid, with – aside from a few niggles – one of the most interesting control implementations on Wii to date. It’s not an epic game; it might take you eight hours to get through all 29 levels in normal mode, but once you throw in time trials and challenges for each level, somewhat compromised multiplayer, and a fully featured level editor which lets you swap levels with friends, Eledees is well worth checking out. If only it had more charm.

Despite a few oversights, there's a lot to like about Elebits. While a few issues bog it down there are no major deal-breakers in there, and it can get surprisingly addictive once you start aiming to max out the score. Though Elebits never becomes mind-blowingly fun, it still provides a pleasant, low-key round of enjoyable gaming that's great for unwinding with at the end of the day.

The tight time limits and additional conditions in some levels - such as restricting the number of objects you can break, or a decibel level you have to remain under - all add variety but detract from the fun factor rather than adding to the overall enjoyment. (...) It shines brightly for a while but is lacking that extra spark that could have turned it into the cult classic it's so desperately trying to be.

There’s much to praise with Eledees – most notably, the game’s excellent implementation of the Wii’s control scheme. It’s a set-up that finally offers something that simply wouldn’t be possible on any other system – and, thankfully, it’s an intrinsically woven aspect of Eledees’ gameplay rather than a casual afterthought. Trouble is, for all the environmental interaction and satisfyingly reckless destruction it offers, there just isn’t enough game-wise to support it. For all its off-kilter charm, Eledees’ is simply too shallow an experience to hold attention for extended periods of time. It’s a shame because Konami really pulled out all the stops to make the most of the Wii’s unique feature set – particularly impressive given Eledee’s original launch game status. Sadly though, now that the initial novelty of the Wiimote’s worn off, Eledees’ shortcomings – despite being undoubtedly unique and engaging - are all too obvious.

When all is said and done, Elebits offers up a unique experience that couldn't have been done nearly as well on anything other than the Wii. It's a novel take on the classic hide and seek game every kid grew up on. Still, without more variety, that same novelty can wear a little thin. While the cute little Elebits may not pack quite enough power to shine a spotlight on the game, there's at least enough juice to warrant some attention.

All of which rather betrays Reggie's belief that it was "something special". There's nothing special here. Elebits is a fairly competent FPS tidy-'em-up with a great edit mode, but that's all.

Elebits deserves recognition, however, for trying something different. This isn't a game you could do on any system other than the Wii. It's at its best when you can just wreak havoc and tear apart a room, tossing furniture with abandon and scattering objects wildly. But the amount of tedium you'll have to wade through along the way isn't worth it. Frankly, Elebits is a great idea in search of a better game.

Elebits would have made an excellent tech demo to showcase the Wii controls, but it doesn’t fair well as a complete game. The level difficulty is far too simplistic and begins to become very repetitive after a couple hours of play. The storyline is easily predictable, but still difficult to become enraptured due to the horrid voice acting. Also, the oddball Wiiconnect option does not add enough replay value to necessitate a purchase. The unique nature of the gameplay does allow for a weekend rental as the main storyline can be knocked out in about five to six hours.
