Command and Conquer 3 is the game to buy for fans of strategy games. Constructing and commanding armies have never been simpler, and it is always a delight to watch. Command and Conquer is a game every person must pick up if they like to have some level of thought put into their multiplayer, or solo experience.

With Tiberium Wars finally correcting so many of the problems that have beset the genre since its console inception, it would be hard not to recommend this as a purchase to any 360-owning strategy fan. Whilst there are still some hardware limitations that cramp the immediacy of the control and the clarity of action on lower-end equipment, the core mechanics have now reached a point where the benefits outweigh the issues when playing on a console, and with the Live service in tow you could even make a solid argument for this to be the definitive version of Command and Conquer 3. High praise indeed, and all the sweeter for being fairly unexpected.

Tiberium Wars might boast superior graphics and modern gameplay, but it still retains a potent kernel of nostalgia that's actually nurtured by the story's reliance on ham-fisted live-action cut-scenes.

As someone who has been dipping into PC gaming lately on and off, you canât help but feel that horrid sense of console isolation when you try and control a game like this. Do not fear the pull of this title though! Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is confident enough to stick out its chest on PC and indeed the console for its impressive control setups. If you played the original and want to relive the series with all the updated wonders of modern technology or you are new to the C&C universe and love RTS games, you wonât be disappointed either way. So grab your Xbox 360 controller, dust off your Live Vision Camera and enjoy the delights of a true reincarnation that proves yet again that the good old days of gaming can be brought back without the nastiness of old age.

If you're looking for a great RTS to play on your Xbox 360 then Command & Conquer 3 is the game to go for. The game offers a very similar experience to the PC version and plays really well. The control system is very good and feels quite natural. There have been some compromises made, there's no BattleCast feature for example and due to the nature of the control scheme it's not really possible to easily control large amounts of units as effectively as you would on the PC version, but for the most part it all works really well. In fact it's difficult to see how anyone would be able to create a better console RTS given how well things have been done with the Xbox 360 version of Command & Conquer 3.

Tiberium Wars is just an excellent example of how a strategy game off of its native platform should be. When it came out in the PC earlier this year we gave it our highly revered editorâs choice award. This time, unfortunately due to the graphics we wonât be able to give it the same score, but in every other respect it is just as good of a game. If youâre a fan of strategy games and have wanted something really good, this is the game. Itâs a must-own for any fan of the genre whether itâs on the PC or Xbox 360. Do yourself a favor and pick it up today. Weâll see you online.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is an excellent real-time strategy game that is worth playing regardless of the platform. If you still have a sneaking suspicion that the Xbox 360 version suffers from the inferior control scheme of a controller, think again. After a few minutes of adjusting, you'll find that it's just as easy to perform at your peak on the Xbox 360's controller as it is on a keyboard and mouse setup on a PC. The graphics and sound are great, but most importantly, the multiplayer is absolutely fantastic, and you can easily spend hours on the Xbox 360 lost in the world that is Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.

Command and Conquer 3 is a strategy masterpiece, and an excellent continuation of the series. Whether you've played the previous games before or not, the story is enthralling, and the live action cutscenes are unique and perfectly executed. If you're a fan of the Real Time Strategy genre, you owe it to yourself to pick this game up sooner than later. With an incredibly indepth multiplayer offering and a lengthy and deep singleplayer campaign, Command and Conquer 3 will keep you playing for months. The controls are amazingly fluid and easy to learn, and you'll be playing like a pro within the first half hour of picking up the controller. Easily one of the best Xbox 360 titles to date, and arguably one of the greatest strategy games of all time.

That said, the main achievement of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars - which rises above all other minor concerns - is that it represents the first genuinely appealing real-time strategy success on a home videogames console. And, what's more, it carries the Command & Conquer banner with an almost effortless pride. When viewed as a whole, Tiberium Wars is packed with immersive action, gorgeous visuals, upgradeable battlefield hardware, a plethora of destructive choices, and a reassuring conviction and self-belief that may just be remembered as the blueprint from which all other console-based RTS titles will be built.

EA is finally stepping up to the plate to craft worthwhile experiences again, instead of another Madden or Sims title. Though not perfect, this is the best RTS title you're going to find on a console, bar-none. Even fans of the genre on the PC should give the title's 360 outing a go. You may even find that it's worth losing your keyboard and mouse controls for the comfort of the couch.

C&C 3 goes a long way to dispelling the argument that these kind of RTS games cannot be done on a console. The beautiful graphics, relative ease of control and immersive gameplay round out the âexpectedly cheesyâ storyline to provide an intense gameplay experience that no fan of the genre should miss. C&C 3 can be recommended for a purchase without any fears of having your bases invaded as a result.

There are still those reluctant C&C fans who donât like the futuristic route the series has turned, but everyone else will have no choice but to become addicted to one of the best RTS franchises, with Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars leaving no one behind in disappointment. Obviously if you have a powerful rig of a PC, then you may have already bought this version and are enjoying it. If you want to run this bad boy on your big screen HDTV set in the comfort of your living room, the Xbox 360 version does a stand up job and is nearly identical to the experience the PC version delivers, with a few extras online too boot! In the end, the game is a must buy for RTS fans who own a 360.

If you can, youâll want to play Command & Conquer 3 on the PC. If you canât, the Xbox 360 version is good enough that it is definitely worth playing. The fast paced nature of the game can make things a little bit frustrating in the story mode, especially when you canât quickly reload a mission once things go sour. Even so, the presentation and good mission design work with the decent controls to make for an enjoyable game. The online play has a great feature set and with a level playing field is great fun. When you put it all together, youâve got one impressive little game.

All in all, the 360 version of Tiberium Wars is a fantastic attempt at bringing the Command & Conquer series over to consoles. However, there is no getting away from the fact that the port does bring up a few annoyances that impede the experience being a truly awesome one. As I stated before, the biggest of these problems is the control method - it simply does not hold up well enough during some of the more manic missions. Thankfully with continual play most people will start to learn little tricks and become more proficient at using the pad to control the units which in effect cancels out the game's biggest point of contention. Other than that everything is just as youâd expect it to be, Tiberium Wars truly is everything you would expect from a C&C game.

[Online review] (...) Like any RTS, C&C3's online play is all about time management and as you'll no doubt learn the hard way from some of the better players out there, a speedy set-up is crucial to success. After that you're free to play your way, whether you want to hole up in your heavily fortified base, send wave after wave of cheap units to pester you opponents or just work towards getting your big units on the field as soon as you can. Varied, exciting and surprisingly well balanced, Command & Conquer 3 is the thinking man's Live game of choice.

If you're a C&C fan but lack the power on your PC to play it, own a 360, then you could do worse than picking up this slice of gaming pie. If you hanker for the good old days of the Wing Commander FMV, then pick up this game. If you're new the series and you really want to see what C&C is like, you guessed it, pick up this game.

EA still hasn't quite nailed the RTS experience with "Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars" on the 360 yet. The controls and interface are much improved over BFME2, but the inferior graphics, long loading times and save times, and occasionally laggy multiplayer mean this can only be recommended if your PC is not up to running that version. However, the game does have some neat additions, and is still a valiant attempt that deserves a lot of praise and is most definitely worth playing, even if you just watch the amazing full-motion cut scenes. The campaign's length also makes the game great value for money, so you really can't go wrong, despite the occasional, minor gripe.

We're sure Tiberium Wars will still find a following in the Xbox Live community, though. After all, people are still playing Battle for Middle-earth II today, and C&C3's super-shortcut controls should prove popular...overly magnetic cursors or not. Just save yourself a lot of grief and don't play too far into the single-player campaign....

Command & Conquer 3 isn't a brilliant reinvention of the RTS game. It's dirt-farming and mediocre live-action cutscenes and tank rushes and screaming that the Mammoth Tank is unbalanced (it is), and that's where the fun lies. If the PC isn't an option or if you just need those Achievements, you'll do fine with C&C3 on the 360. It's just that you'll inevitably end up wishing you could play with a mouse and keyboard.

The invasion has begun!

The Good
The fact there are now three sides to choose from has increased the level playing field. The graphics are crisp, and great from my point of view. The gameplay is basically the same, but that has never been a downfall for me. Being able to take the fight online is actually a very neat idea, although I have not personally got to experience it yet. Also the fact that C&C 3 has come to 360 instead of PS3 has made it a little sweater.
The Bad
The only problem that have with this game (which is not too great) is that it is not 360 mouse compatible. It is a little hard to get used too using the 360 controller, but after a few missions you should be able to kick butt and take names later.
The Bottom Line
Describing this game to those who "have not" got to play this "type" of game before is a little hard. You feel sort of "high and mighty" with the overhead angle gameplay, but I guess the best way to do it is too cut it down. The graphics is great compared to other games (Starcraft, AvP: Extinction, Warcraft, Civilization), you get to choose from three teams the GDI, NOD, and a new alien force that I was unable to play at the time. The story of the game has always been the same until now with the new force. GDI harvests Tiberium which is used for energy and fights off the evil NOD, NOD want the Tiberium to "rule the world" and destroy the goody, goody NOD, the Aliens on the other hand want to conquer the world, harvest the Tiberium for the own reasons, and move to the next world that has it. In this game you can Command your troops on dozens of playable maps, and Conquer all who oppose you in this new War over Tiberium. (wow that sounded sortta neat, LOL).
