Di giochi a piattaforme ne ho visti devvero tanti e so che è molto difficile inventare qualcosa di nuovo e di davvero innovativo, ecco perchésento di dover rendere merito a questa realizzazione che ha cercato di introdurre un pizzico di novita nella dinamica di gioco, facendo di Rocky Rodent un personaggio che se la cava con "la forza del capeíli", inoltre la splendida grafíca esalta il susseguirsi degli avvenimenti e incrementa la voglia di vedere i livelli successivi. Percio, anche se la trama é ormai trita e ritrîta, considero Rocky rodent un'ottimo gioco cha tarà felici gli appassionati del genere.

Rocky Rodent is een platformer met een bite. Je verslaat vijanden namelijk met je haar. En aangezien je verschillende haarstijlen kunt vinden, kun je je lol niet op. Een teleurstelling is dan weer dat het spel te snel uit te spelen is.

Schön kurzweilig geht es auch bei der Grafik zu. Kulissen und Gegner verdienen allesamt das Prädikat „originell“. Schade nur, daß das Scrolling manchmal erbärmlich ruckelt und keine Spur von Paßwörtern zu sehen ist. Für die Lauschlappen gibt‘s eine ganz erträgliche Musik und einige überaus witzige Sound-Effekten. Jump&Run-Fans sollten das Modul unbedingt mal checken!

Endearing as the character may be, Rocky Rodent won’t be finding his way into my Super NES again. Whilst Irem have added some neat touches to Rocky’s very basic platform antics, the dodgy sprite detection and overlong levels hardly inspire the player to progress through to the kidnapped girl. Admittedly, Rocky is a very polished game, and I particularly liked the carpet section where Rocky runs to avoid being dragged into a hole, and the assorted hairstyles are a novel slant on the powerup theme, but these features are no substitute for a lack of playability Basically, playing Rocky Rodent is like buying a sandwich and finding only the front bit has got any filling - most annoying.

Rocky Rodent is a solid game with a few flaws. I am still hesitant to recommend it however. The SNES is not starved for platformers which makes even the decent ones hard to stand out. This one ranks low on the must have scale even if it is entertaining.

Der Umfang des Spiels dürfte sogar Hardcore-Spieler zufriedenstellen. Zusammen mit dem hoch angesetzten Schwierigkeitsgrad und den begrenzten Continues seid Ihr sicher eine Weile unterhalten.
