The Adventures of Robin Hood
- The Adventures of Robin Hood (1984 on Atari 8-bit, 2020 on Antstream)
Description official descriptions
In Robin Hood, you must perform many heroic deeds to change the public impression of you from "villain" to "hero." The ultimate aim is to retake your castle, which is captured in the intro sequence. This involves bringing together your band of merry men and killing the Sheriff and his guards. There are seven extra items you can find in the game, which aren't essential but make the game a lot easier. The whole interface is similar to Populous: you don't direct Robin directly but with icons placed around the screen.
The AI citizens of Sherwood go about their lives as normal, so it's another game that you can spend just watching and wandering through rather than trying to complete.

Trivia
Save system
One 'feature' of this game, in keeping with the idea of playing role of Robin and developing him, is that there is only room for one save game. The idea behind this is that you can't save your game before making a decisive action but you can continue the game later still. This can be over come by quitting the game (there by saving) then copying the save game files into a temp directory then reloading the game.
