Gehirn und jedes Gespür für guten Geschmack ausschalten und freuen, dass es noch mehr Verrückte auf der Welt gibt. Bei Games wie „Spank the Monkey“ oder den fast durchwegs unter die Gürtellinie zielenden Fragen ist Partystimmung garantiert. Leider macht das Spiel erwartungsgemäß alleine nicht so viel Spaß, doch mit ein paar Kumpels ist ein amüsanter Abend garantiert.

If your the type of person that plays games on your own I would steer clear of South Park Chef's Luv Shack as you will be bored within an hour. As a multiplayer game however there is an added element of fun which almost makes this game worthwhile, if your a South Park fan. Unfortunately the number of American based questions and repeatitive gameplay can still become tiresome after a few hours play. My suggestion, try before you buy.

The amusement is endless and you will find yourself playing this game at three in the morning while simultaneously rolling around on the floor. Chef’s Luv Shack is undoubtedly the best party game on the Dreamcast, and the fact that it is the only party game on the console shouldn’t even be considered to be an issue. With Christmas coming this is a game which you just have to own.

When Chef's Luv Shack was first announced, I was expecting something along the lines of Austin Power's Operation Trivia (ie. with trivia based on the show). Thankfully, they tried to use actual trivia, although not enough questions. The mini-games are great, but since you can't choose which one you want to play, you often play the same ones over and over. Chef's Luv Shack is a decent attempt with some cool elements, but the game just doesn't have enough depth. When push comes to shove, Chef just doesn't make a very good gameshow host . . . maybe they should look into hiring Regis Philbin.

Planet Dreamcast (4.5 out of 10)

In the end, South Park: Chef's Luv Shack is just a mediocre trivia game with a South Park license and some simplistic mini-games to serve as a distraction. If you're a big fan of South Park and want a game to play at parties, it might be worth a look. Otherwise, just stick with playing Trivial Pursuit against your cat or something.

A shame really. I love South Park, and the game has some seriously clever writers, but for all their hilarious mini-game ideas and irreverent questions, they over-looked a key fact: gameplay. Sure, Chef's Luv Shack is a great short-term party game, but with so many shortcomings, don't expect much in the way of sweet lovin' after the honeymoon. Unless you're a serious South Park fanatic, you might as well not bother.

The Luv Shack is a little old place where we can get together. OK, now that the token B-52's reference is out of the way, South Park: Chef's Luv Shack is a loose combination of You Don't Know Jack-style trivia and Mario Party-style minigames. The result is a game that manages to amuse with its questions, but the lame minigames, lack of varied speech, and general slow pace of the game make it short-lived fun at best.

The gaming public had never wronged the developers. They had never given the developers insult. For the gamers’ gold, the developers had desire. I think it was their gold.
