Hard Truck 2
Description official description
Take 12 different trucks (from small trucks to 18-wheel tractor-trailers) and deliver cargo ahead of your competition while avoiding the police. Bid on jobs, manage your money for upgrades, and keep on trucking! Alternatively, race fellow truck drivers on over 70 miles of roads or do time trials and obstacle courses. The road awaits!

Overall interesting - but I played "King of the Road" !
The Good
First, I found that the graphics are nice. I played with a joystick with throttle and I think it's realistic. I like very much trading the trucks (and the cars ! ) and finding new roads (yes, there are a lot of them).
The Bad
The stupidity of other drivers. I've thought I'm the only bad driver on the roads, but that was not true.
The trucks are quite difficult to drive at higher speeds, but this is a simulation, after all. It's difficult to compete with others drivers before finding the short-cuts.
I also didn't like the difficulty to keep the speed under the speed limit. You can break the speed limit but it's expensive.
The Bottom Line
An interesting game, mixing driving with managing. But I don't recommend this game to those who like racing, even if this game advertising speak about "fast truck racing action".

Trivia
King of the Road
This game is often confused with King of the Road. Both were developed by Softlab-NSK and they share the same engine and the larger half of the concept. King of the Road, however, was never released in North America. The European variant has many fixes and steep improvements to the gameplay itself.
The original version was first released in Russia and was titled Dal'noboyshchiki 2 and then Hard Truck 2 in English. The European King of the Road version was not released in the developer's home country until May 2003, when 1C Company published a special 2-disc edition, again with the title Dal'noboyshchiki 2. That time, however, it was the Russian version of King of the Road, patched to version 8.0. Therefore, the Russian title Dal'noboyshchiki 2 is used to refer to both games.
