Unter dem Strich sind zwar fast alle Versionen über einen kürzeren oder längeren Zeitraum zumindest einigermaßen unterhaltsam, doch Iron Man schafft es weder, das angeschlagene Image der Superhelden-Spiele zu verbessern, noch langfristig zu motivieren. Keine Lizenzgurke, aber dennoch ein Projekt, dem ein schaler Beigeschmack beiwohnt und das mit Ausnahme der DS-Version keine Chance hätte, ohne den großen Namen auf dem hart umkämpften Spielemarkt zu bestehen.

Overall, the Iron Man title on the Wii lacked the spark that the film had; however, it’s a huge step up from last year's A2M film franchise adaptation, known as The Golden Compass. That said, if players are looking for a film to game adaptation that actually reflects the film, they should look elsewhere.

Wir sind mit großen Hoffnungen in den Test gegangen, und beinahe alle wurden erbarmungslos zerschmettert. Bis auf die verschiedenen, und gut designten Iron Man Anzüge ist alles von Gameplay, über Grafik bis hin zum Umfang deutlich unter dem Durchschnitt. Plötzlich wirken Titel wie Spiderman oder sogar das, zum Synonym für schlechte Film-Spiele aufgestiegene, Transformers wieder sehr gut, oder zumindest passabel. Iron Man ist leider eine große Enttäuschung, von der selbst eiserne Fans Abstand nehmen sollten!

Egal, ob 'Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer', 'Catwoman' oder jetzt 'Iron Man': Videospielumsetzungen bekannter Superheldenfilme sind die Rohlinge oft nicht wert, auf die sie gepresst sind. Dasselbe gilt für den neuesten Marvel-Vertreter: Segas 'Iron Man' krankt an einem unausgereiften Schwierigkeitsgrad, abwechslungsarmen Missionen und einer deutlich zu komplizierten Steuerung. Wer nicht im selben Millionärsclub wie Tony Stark ist, sollte sich eine Anschaffung besser zweimal überlegen.

Halfhearted pretty much sums up this version of Iron Man. Enough effort was put into the gameplay and graphical design to keep it from crashing and burning, but not enough to inject it with any sort of life or appeal. Superheroes are meant to inspire you to do great things, but Iron Man will barely inspire you to finish the game.

Leider handelt es sich mal wieder nur um billigen Lizenzschrott, der keinen Kauf wert ist. Die Grafik ist miserabel und das "Iron Man"-Feeling schlecht. Es ist ja nicht einmal möglich im Flug zu ballern! Die Flugpassagen, sind noch am Lustigsten, kommen aber eher selten vor, da man oft in irgendwelchen Höhlen herumläuft oder gleitet. "Iron Man"-Fans sollten lieber noch einmal ins Kino gehen, oder das Geld in ein paar Comichefte investieren.

I hesitate to say that Iron Man is dumbed down for the Wii, PlayStation 2, and PSP, since hardware limitations likely necessitated such a distinct iteration, but the resulting experience is a by-the-numbers affair unlikely to rouse most action fans. Maybe you won't toss your controller in a fit of rage (unlike the frustrating PS3/360 games), but with gameplay and presentation this uninteresting, do you even need pick it up to begin with?

Iron Man is playable but that’s the only accolade that can be said for it. Why anyone would want to play it is a completely different matter. The graphics are horrible, the music is awful and the levels are tired and repetitive.

I'll present you with an idea; I'll just run this by you real quick, so hear me out. Save forty bucks, go to your local multiplex, purchase a ticket to see the movie, buy whatever concessions make your theatre experience more enjoyable, and have a blast. The movie is good; the game is not, so save yourself the heartache, the pain, and a few hours. I, on the other hand, was not so lucky, but that's life.

Iron Man est un jeu dont le gameplay décevant ne mérite pas les efforts déployés pour le prendre en main. Visuellement rebutant, il propose en outre des missions inintéressantes au coeur d'environnements austères. Le fan absolu des super-héros Marvel aura déjà du mal à faire abstraction de ces nombreux défauts ; les autres sont purement et simplement invités à s'en tenir au film.

Avec une réalisation plus aboutie, Iron Man aurait pu être un sympathique jeu d'action, défoulant et rythmé, mais il déçoit surtout par son gameplay crispant.

Komik på hög nivå för mig som fått spela Iron Man gratis. En oerhörd tragedi för den arme sate som någonsin råkar betala fullpris för den här horrören till spel. Iron Man är verkligen filmlicensspel när det är som absolut sämst. Det är dåligt gjort, fullt av buggar (jag fick vid ett tillfälle gå under marken och hamnade en gång inuti en boss utan att kunna ta mig ut) och har en usel och ogenomtänkt spelkontroll. Det enda som får mig på gott humör är de första minuterarna i spelet då jag får blåsa ut lite fiender till tonerna av Black Sabbaths klassiker Iron Man från 1970. Minus denna lilla stund är resten katastrof och Catwoman har fått sig en jämlike.

As if it didn't look bad enough, the game engine itself is appalling. Enemies explode in such a primitive manner its like you're watching a 1970s budget film, objects disappear before your very eyes and wooden structures that can be blown up one second, remain intact the next. Quite simply, it's a complete shambles of a game.
