The Games Cabin (8.5 out of 10)
Spyro the Dragon might be old and dated now, but trust me when I say itâs still worth playing. The gameplay is sharp and easily stands up to modern games of the same genre, even giving a longer play time than most modern games. The graphics may be a bit naff, but if you can look past the fact that Spyro was born into a pre-HD world, youâll love the adventure and I can guarantee youâll be coming back for more. Itâs a classic, pure and simple, and if you have any interest at all in gaming, youâll be heading over to the Playstation Store to make the best purchase youâll likely make for the rest of this year.

Spyro the Dragon may not be the most challenging 3D platformer, although itâs charismatic and never any less than enjoyable to play, and certainly proves itself to be an ideal entry point for those new to the genre. Thereâs a lot to like in this magical world, and, with all that said, itâs not difficult to see why the little purple dragon and his games became so very popular in the first place.
