Crash of the Titans brings a great platform franchise to the Xbox 360, although usually aimed at children, this version has something for everyone to enjoy. The developers seem to have come up with a great idea in enabling players to jack the monsters they fight and in practice it really works. Although Crash of the Titans may not be a game for everyone, those who do buy it will certainly not have wasted their cash because it’s a great game with a lot of replay value.

Truly elaborate action/adventure games with real depth are few and far between, especially for the PSP. Let's face it - creating a vast, interactive world that is actually appealing takes a LOT of work. Crash of the Titans is a rare example of a game where the designers have not only completed this level of work, but have also made the game a fun and entertaining experience. The replay value is a bit low due to the episodes each essentially consisting of only one objective, but overall, even though it may be hard to be a mad scientist, it is easy to get hooked on battling against one.

Crash of the Titans is a fun, not too complex platformer/beat up the bad guys game with a few flaws, but I enjoyed it. It's probably reasonably safe for older children, if cartoon-style violence is acceptable as well as a little toilet humor. It's not all that long, but it's reasonably fun for what it is. I would recommend it if the price is right and this is the kind of game you are looking for.

Crash of the Titans is an extremely silly platformer when you smash things and collect lots of shiny jewels. There’s no great mystery here, no depth, no riddles, and very few puzzles. The game is up front at least regarding this and how it is there to let players have fun. It is commendable in a way since you know right from the outset that this is a game where you can just play. It is a lot of silly, good natured fun that, while not long in duration, provides a good time. If you’re looking to kill an afternoon with gaming, this is a solid choice.

The ever-popular Crash Bandicoot, one of the most beloved mascots throughout the early 2000’s, has now made its way to the Xbox 360 under the heading Crash of the Titans. The latest Crash game features a lot of the old platforming gameplay and charming animation that still attracts the younger crowd. It has been awhile since we played any of the Crash games, but this Crash gave us a sense of rejuvenation of what we were missing since the early days. The game is easy to control and anyone who has played Crash before would definitely feel right at home with this one. There are a number of gameplay features we like about Crash of the Titans. The first is new platforming moves. You have your latest wall running, rope swinging, and chimney climbing techniques. But if you think that’s impressive, wait until you get a load of this: Crash has another ability that allows him to use his enemy like a skateboard!

Crash of the Titans, in our opinion, sees the Bandicoot returning to his former glory. Adults and children will simply lap up the co-operative gameplay and the ability to piggyback through the harder stages is a work of genius. If you are after a decent platformer to play alone, or with a friend, we doubt you’ll come away from this one disappointed.

It may very well be another nail in the coffin for the once bulging platforming genre, but Crash of the Titans is an excellent reinvention for the Crash Bandicoot series. The art of platforming is indeed dying out, but Crash himself has successfully managed the transition to the action genre.

Crash of the Titans wirkt auf den ersten Blick recht unauffĂ€llig.

In the end, Crash of the Titans merely exists to put Crash back on the map. Nearly forgotten after so many new platform icons have come and gone, someone had to get the poor bandicoot back on track. Despite following the same formula as a lot of adventure titles, Crash of the Titans' new idea of taking over enemies to resolve battles and solve puzzles is quite unique. Throw in a two player co-op mode and you have some nice replay value on your hands. There are some quirks here and there with the camera and the repetition between episodes, but neither are devastating enough to bring down the overall quality of the game. Expect to beat the single player in about fifteen to twenty hours, but add even more if you have a friend to tag along. As said earlier, what are friends for?

All in all, Crash of the Titans is not a bad game. I'd certainly say it's just above average, as its gameplay features a good dose of fun with clever platforming setups. The combat is a bit on the slow side and throws off the game's pace, but it gets better with time. The stage design isn't bad, and is back to being linear (albeit with various paths), and the visuals certainly make them pop. Despite a few poor choices in aesthetics and annoying voice acting, Crash of the Titans may mark the first step in return to norm for the franchise. Let's just hope we get a proper next-gen game coming our way, seeing as how the Xbox 360 version is practically the same game, running on the same engine, with prettier visuals. Overall, I'd recommend Crash of the Titans to fans and newcomers both.

It's a decent experience for casual gamers and a must play title for platforming fans. It will please the action-adventure games fans for at least two or three hours and it will be a nice break for the Halo 3 fanatics. Crash Bandicoot's latest adventure suits all tastes and ages, breaking the barrier of public segments and simply providing enough content and fun to last and leave an impression even after the game's been 100% completed.

With the complete lack of platformers on the 360, Crash Of The Titans does not have much competition; which is good because the six hours it will take you to complete the twenty-level contest hardly feels substantial. It is not the slam-dunk comeback fans hoped for from Crash's 360 debut, but it is far from a failure.

If you were thinking of getting this game on any other platform I’d probably advise against it, the Wii has Mario Galaxy on the horizon, and the PS3 has Ratchet and Clank coming soon, but the 360 has very little in the way of reasonable platformers. This may be little more than a last generation game with upgraded visuals, but it does what it’s supposed to, it’s a fun platformer that‘s not too taxing on the brain. It’s not the longest game in the world though, but it does have some replay value with plenty of unlockables to be found, but overall you may want to just give it a rental.

Radical has created a reasonably fun experience here that's frothy, intermittently funny, and a breeze to play. The big underlying problem with Crash of the Titans is that you could swap Crash out for any number of other cartoony platforming heroes and not really know the difference. Without much of a distinct style to call its own, it's hard to get too excited.

The key to enjoying Crash of the Titans is not to take it too seriously. There's the usual nonsense about Neo Cortex taking over the world, but the different animal personalities are so charming, and the self-referential humor so relentlessly silly, that you're unlikely to cry foul too loudly. Crash might be getting on in years for a videogame mascot, and his latest outing falls well short of classic status, but a few disarming new tricks prove he's not over the hill just yet.

When asked by palgn.com if it was disappointing to see other developers work on Crash, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells said "it's a bit like watching your daughter do porn." Those aren't exactly inspiring words, but I do feel that Crash of the Titans has erased some of the ills he may have received from Crash's other go-rounds. It's aimed at a younger demographic, but it's still chalk full of traditional platformer fun. Jacking titans functions well for a fundamental change to the series gameplay, even if the end result it is a little too combat heavy. Crash still isn't on the level of Ratchet or Mario, but he's doing his best to pull himself up from the dregs of other fallen imitators.

Not as sophisticated as many Xbox 360 games out there, Crash of the Titans is, at the end of that day, a scrolling platformer. It doesn't need to be sophisticated - it needs to be fun, frantic, colourful, noisy, winsome and comical, which is exactly what it manages to be. Radical have done a great job of reviving the washed-out shadow-of-his-former-greatness that Crash had become and breathed new life into the series, enough to at least guarantee that the established fans are happy again for a while. And if you're not a fan but find yourself having a go with Crash, you'll probably be smiling anyway. When all is said and done, it's character that counts in a platform game - and Crash Bandicoot certainly has that. Welcome back, you crazy marsupial - we've missed you!

With its likable presentation, jacking gameplay and decent amount of extras (including a buddy-friendly co-op mode), gamers will enjoy it for what it is. Crash of the Titans is a satisfying platform brawler that should easily please younger gamers while providing enough action and humor to keep older gamers interested. Experienced gamers will be able to whip through the game’s single player mode in 8-10 hours. There’s a two-player co-op mode too, but it doesn’t add too much to the experience, though it might be fun to play with a younger friend or relative for an hour or two. Crash definitely comes out of the paradigm of last-gen game design, but it takes ideas from the best games and implements them in a unique way that freshens up the formula in some small but satisfying ways. It won’t hold your attention for too long, and once you’re done with the game you probably won’t have much incentive to revisit it. For what it is, though, Crash of the Titans is a solid and amusing take on a familiar genre of games that should be at least basically entertaining for most fans.

Not a ground-breaking title, and unfortunately even the initially cool mechanic of ‘jacking’ your bigger enemies begins to pale after a while. Despite this it’s a pretty fun game to play and the gradual introduction of the titans as the game progresses keeps you interested to see what cool abilities the next one is going to have. Younger children will also find it pretty easy to pick up, with the characters and scenarios appealing to them.

It doesn't have the lasting power to make a spot in your collection, but it will make for a good rental. Let's hope that the monster-jacking idea is used better in a sequel someday.

The possession feature is rather cool as are the levels and their design. However the graphics aren't going to win any awards and neither is the brevity of the game, and so this is more than likely going to appeal to the younger gamer more than those of you who like a little more brain exercise. I have enjoyed the game, but sadly it's not something I will ever feel compelled to return to in the future. There simply is not enough "Meat" here to cater for older gamers who undoubtedly will breeze through with their eyes half shut, whilst eating, smoking and watching another TV at the same time. The developers need to learn that in this day an age, games that are made for older systems aren't going to cut it on Xbox 360 despite having a high definition sheen added. Crash of the Titans should be great fun for younger kids and sneaky achievement hunters who pack the kids off to bed or boot them off for a quick play before they are discovered!

Crash of the Titans is nothing new or revolutionary. Players will find better platformers to play this holiday, so I’d say it would be best to find a different game to play this winter. Save for the cooperative mode, there’s not much here worthy of a gamer’s time that is devoted to buying and renting the best games.

Crash of the Titans for PSP is a decent port of a briefly entertaining game. But even then, the PSP version loses out to the consoles in a number of areas; especially when it comes to multiplayer. Considering that the PS2 version retails for the same price as the PSP one, I would recommend that you just go straight to the home console game if you have to play a new Crash.

Kudos to Radical for attempting to return back to the basics of the Crash legacy that seemed to be left behind by Naughty Dog, but this title falls short of anything worth owning. The truth is a good license just is not enough. You need to create a good game then everyone novice and veteran can appreciate it. This just lacks the heart of the original!

Diverse levels offering an assortment of different challenges over the course of the game’s lifespan - that is the one trait most of the world’s greatest platformers all have in common. Moreover, it is something many developers struggle to even approach getting right. Usually, regardless of how good one single idea is, it will get boring with repetition, so it is always best for developers to try and mix things up should they want to end up with a winner on their hands once their title is released. Regretfully, Crash of the Titans is one of these games which is based around the concept of one idea, and yes, as an unfortunate result does get grating with repetition.

Mutant is an average game, gameplay wise, with some bright spots that make it glow. The cartoon atmosphere is pitch perfect and the voice actors they picked for the characters are delightful. It dresses up the gameplay in a better suit to make you smile when you see the bright colors and noteworthy voice overs.

Crash of the Titans plot sounded like a cool idea, but despite lots of new moves and excellent animation, the poor overall implementation, a fixed perspective camera and boring, repetitious level design mean this once highly-rated mascot’s latest game is a bit of a one-trick pony

All in all, this game is a mixed package. It does a lot of things right, but doesn’t capitalise in other areas. It is this lack of finishing touches that makes the game feel a little incomplete in some areas. Although it will appeal to many, the short story mode isn’t enough to give a full recommendation to go out and buy the title. At around eight hours of play, it won’t last seasoned gamers very long. With the lack of multiplayer options, it really is a quick bang for your buck. One thing is for sure though. The series is in a rehabilitation process, trying to get back to where it deserves to be. It isn’t as impressive as the original games were, but overall Crash seems to be making titanic steps in the right direction.

I thought Crash of the Titans was an overall enjoyable game. It gets a bit tedious down the stretch because each episode is so very similar to the previous one, but the campaign ends just as the adventure wears out its welcome. Crash of the Titans also sports some very smooth and colorful animations, too, and the sound guys did a fine job. Ultimately, I would recommend this game for a rental or for a much younger audience; I think it’s short enough that the average adult gamer could play through it in a weekend, and furthermore it isn’t a strong enough title to warrant adding it to one’s library.

As much as I pick on Crash, I was secretly hoping that Crash of the Titans would put him back in the spotlight. It had an excitingly original concept but failed to take full advantage of its possibilities. I suppose time will tell if Crash of the Titans is the stepping stone for a proper comeback, or if it’s just another cut in the bandicoot’s constant bloodletting.

Crash Bandicoot fans will likely appreciate what Crash of the Titans does for the series as far as gameplay and canon progression (and Crash's new character design) are concerned. People who simply yearn for a solid platforming adventure and have 10-15 hours to spare should certainly give this game some consideration. Those who dislike linear gameplay, lots of color and cartoon-like characters, however, should think about jacking elsewhere.

Overall, this game is exactly what it sounds like, namely, a fairly generic and straightforward linear 3D platformer. That is not all bad, but this game does not stretch the boundaries of 3D platformers at all or even reach the edges already set. Still, if you are dying to have a new 3D platformer for your DS, this game may be enough to suit your fancy for a few hours.

If you thought that Crash's first appearance on the next generation of platforms might enhance its appeal from a technical standpoint, forget it. This is very much a game designed primarily with the PS2 and Wii in mind, with a fairly lazy high-def makeover late in development. From a commercial standpoint, it's easy to understand why you'd design a game like this for younger platforms, but in late 2007 any version of the game feels like a relic from a bygone age. As one of my colleagues remarked when seeing the game running last week, "I feel like I've played this game a hundred times before". The narrow, linear levels, the shallow unsatisfying combat, the done-to-death platforming, and the entirely underwhelming look and feel of the game...it's a major disappointment for platform starved gamers to see Crash of the Titans turn out to be so painfully average in almost every respect.

The review feels harsh. Crash doesn’t necessarily do anything particularly wrong, it just doesn’t do anything particularly right either and after a weekend of being wowed by Call of Duty 4, it just doesn’t feel good enough. One for the kids.

Overall Crash of the Titans is an average title that will provide some enjoyment to younger gamers just long enough until something better comes out. And let’s be honest here, it’s not like the 360 is brimming with decent platformer titles. It’s either this or the gonorrhoea that is Sonic the Hedgehog 360...

There isn't much more that can be added to that - it's a cynical cash-in, it's a poor game at best and it outstays its welcome by quite a long time. And to make matters worse, it doesn't even dish out the Achievement points like certain other kiddie games (SpiderFof, I'm looking your rubbish way). If you buy this for your kid, you clearly hate them. If you get this bought for you, you're probably adopted.

Crash of the Titans should be a much better game than it is, but as it stands it's really only appropriate for kids or folks out there really hurting for a coop platformer (pro-tip: wait for LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga). Jacking creatures is fun, but the rest of the game is short, repetitive, and uninspired. If nothing else, the achievement points are easy to get.

Crash is RUINED!!!!

The Good
Hmm... let's see....uhhh..... Well, the music is pretty cool.

The Bad
The graphics are WORSE then the previous Crash games. EVERYTHING is blocky and stupid looking. The character looks are so ugly! Aku Aku is some monkey looking thing, Cortex looks like a terrorist, and Crash looks like some gay weasel. Jokes are common, and NOT funny. Coco has the same actress as JIMMY NEUTRON. WHAT???? She is annoying and wont stop talking. That's the same for all the other characters too. Crash makes these stupid mumbles for some reason. WHY???? The gameplay is just terrible. This is what really kills the game. Instead of fighting bad guys on his own, many times, Crash needs to "jack" mutants to defeat some bad guys and most bosses. What happened to just spinning? Speaking of spinning, Crash gets dizzy when he spins too long. He's just getting old I guess. Instead of collecting fruit, Crash has to collect "mojo". There is also this retarded combo system.

The Bottom Line
Wow. Just wow. Radical and Sierra really killed Crash. This game is bad. Where is Crash anyways? This game was made in 2007, so whats the deal? I want a new Crash game!

Mega Man is dead. Spyro has that Skylanders game. Rayman has origins. Sonic has generations. Mario has a galaxy. Where's Crash?
