Pirate Fishing
- Pirate Fishing (2014 on Browser)
Description
A Baltic pirate, fed up with hipster gentrification of his noble profession, concludes that the real action is in commercial fishing. Pirates being prickly types, however, his methods are somewhat crude: moving the ship with the mouse, upon reaching a desired location the player clicks the mouse to commence the pirate tipping a barrel full of some unidentified bilious black goo into the pristine waters. A simulation of the physical properties of fluids means that the foul brew dilutes as it mixes into a muddy solution, killing fish who swim through it at certain concentration levels much as in the cyanide fishing technique of South-East Asia.
The player's supply of muck is limited; their goal, to net the highest-valued catch of (now-tainted) fish.

Trivia
A "backup" game created in 2006 and stashed away for a rainy day, Pirate Fishing marks the end of season 2 of Petri Purho's monthly game creations and a suspension of their production -- presumably, until Crayon Physics Deluxe ships.
