Nicht nur Igor, sondern auch alle der zwanzig bitterbösen Feindkreaturen sind sehr schön animiert und eincoloriert. Summa summarum ein spaßiges Jump & Run auf technisch höchstem Niveau.

De graphics zijn aardig en het spel is ook best leuk en moeilijk door de onoverzichtelijke levels. De leuke personages en de ingewikkelde stuktuur van de levels maakt Toonsylvania een heel aardige platformgame.

With so many exceptional Game Boy platformers on the market, one simply can't justify picking up Toonsylvania. Unless you're a rabid fan of the cartoon series, the tedium involved easily overshadows anything the game might have going for it.

Generic, generic game. It's not downright awful, but that can be said of lots of much better games, so you might as well go buy those. If you're familiar with the DreamWorks show, you may get some joy from this simple experience, but there's little gameplay behind all this besides rattling around in a level looking for keys to nowhere. It's slight fun, and little else, and certainly nothing for anyone but die-hard Toonsylvania fans -- whoever they might be...

I’ve played worse -- not much, mind you, but Blaze and Blade comes to mind -- but pretty much everyone will want to steer clear of Toonsylvania. Unless you’ve got to have every platformer ever made, or you have some sort of Frankenstein fetish, chances are you’re going to toss this game down after a few minutes anyway. It’s old-school, but in all the ways old-school was bad, and in none of the ways that it was good.

Felet med Toonsylvania är att det är så tråkigt att man nästan somnar. Till viss del beror det på att spelkontrollen inte är så bra, men framför allt känns hela upplägget väldigt uttjatat. Ubi Soft räknar säkert med de allra yngsta spelarna, men jag hoppas att de får mycket roligare presenter. Super Mario Bros Deluxe till exempel.

Mais les talents de l’équipe de développement ne suffisent pas à insuffler de la vie au titre et quelques erreurs regrettables pointent le bout de leur bogue dès les premières secondes de jeu. A titre d’exemple, le héros dispose de deux armes pour combattre : soit son poing, soit de projectiles sous forme de crânes. Mais lorsque l’on appuie sur le bouton d’action, l’effet est surprenant : tantôt l’un, tantôt l’autre, de manière totalement aléatoire!

Overall, this game is far too easy for the largest part of the gaming market. Factor in the Ubi Keys, Toonsylvania becomes a disappointment from a hardcore gamer's point of view. First timers will probably like it and it is a good way to master the basics so you can buy a real game.
