Poor controls ruin this rhythm game.
The Good
The art style, music and sounds are all excellent. The basic mechanic of the game works very well with the Wii controllers to make you really feel like you are shaking maracas. It's fun and simple to grasp how to play.
The Bad
The control response is horrible. Being a rhythm game, timing is everything. However, the Wiimotes just are not accurate enough to pick up your shakes. At times you will curse the game for not registering hits and at other times you will curse the game for registering hits you didn't make.
The Bottom Line
This is a fairly fun maraca shaking rhythm game with excellent Latin flavored musical arrangements. Just don't try to take it too seriously because the inaccurate control will make it well nigh impossible to advance very far in the game.
