Vektor is a hacker who has been trapped in the CPU of the system for longer than he remembers and has no recollection of how he became trapped. He makes contact with the player, whose skills may hold the key to his escape.

In escapeVektor, the player guides Vektor along each level, or 'node', in order to unlock the exit. Nodes are made up of straight lines along which Vektor can move, which turn coloured when crossed. Upon clearing a certain amount of the node, the exit will be unlocked, but some nodes will expand to include bonus exits. The nodes are populated by agents of the CPU which will attempt to stop Vektor, who will go into alert mode if too much time is taken to escape.

Upon completing a node, Vektor will gain experience points which will increase his level. This will unlock new abilities such as increased speed and a detonator which destroys all CPU agents in range.
