Nintendo Life (Sep 25, 2011)
3D Classics: Twinbee takes an overlooked — but excellent — game and gives it both a fresh coat of paint and a new chance to shine, which is exactly what the 3D Classics series should be doing. The team responsible for the update knew that TwinBee was a game that didn't need much tinkering, and as such the 3D effects are satisfyingly subtle and the tweaks largely unobtrusive. 3D Classics: Twinbee is colourful, challenging and most importantly a great deal of fun. You may well have missed it the first time around, but the game's second chance is also yours. Don't miss it.
NintendoWorldReport (Oct 05, 2011)
3D Classics TwinBee is perhaps the greatest offering in the series as of yet. The only blemish on the overall game completeness is its lack of an online leaderboard and the removal of the Famicom’s multiplayer mode.
Official Nintendo Magazine (Nov 08, 2011)
Like many NES games, TwinBee is very difficult and there are no continues - but it never seems unfair so even if you're getting pummeled, you'll feel like going back in for more punishment. There's easily enough going on here to justify the £4.50 price tag and considering the original was never released in the UK, it's well worth checking out on 3DS.
IGN (Sep 23, 2011)
But TwinBee is sort of fun and funny as it is, so 3DS owners might want to give it a shot despite those shortcomings.
