Description

Die Sternenschiff von Catan is a conversion of the eponymous board game. The majority of the game is set in the control room of a space ship where four officers represent the available actions like trading or building. It also features a two-dimensional map of the game field.

The start of the game is as expected: choosing a planet and founding a colony. The game uses five resources - ore, fuel, food, carbon and merchandise - which are used to construct buildings or upgrade the space ships. On every planet two resources are found; when the player needs a not available resource he can trade with another player or aliens.

The whole game is played in real-time, so there are waiting times when flying to another planet. On the way the player can make contact to other races or meets pirates which he has to fight. The game features 15 single player and 7 multiplayer missions which various possible goals, e.g. founding a set number of colonies, establishing a trading network or getting popularity points,
