Gra się naprawdę fajnie, chociaż zabawa nie jest łatwa. Atmosferę Gwiezdnych Wojen podtrzymuje wierna muzyka i efekty dźwiękowe „wyciągnięte” z filmu. Dobra zręcznościówka, odstawiająca w kąt większość innych gier.

Video Game Critic, The (A) (100%)

The stage backdrops, particularly those set in the lush forests of Endor, look gorgeous. One major gameplay innovation is a new defensive move for Luke: the lightsaber block. This plays an instrumental role in defeating Vader, and ultimately the Emperor. Another new element, floating icons, will earn you a bonus life should you collect 100 of them. These add a fun, Super Mario Bros. flavor to the game. The 3D speeder bike stage isn't as impressive as I remember, but it's not so bad. The Millennium Falcon shooting stage is probably the weakest part of the game. Jedi does a nice job of following the storyline of the film, skillfully building to the exciting finale. With the same action-packed gameplay as its predecessors but lacking the frustration factor, Super Return of the Jedi is a fitting conclusion to an excellent series.

Super Jedi is similar to its predecessors, but the extra characters and varying abilities add new depth, whilst the increased size and complexity of most levels add a lot more fun. The music is as awesome as ever - play it on big, bassy speakers. The only fly in this cosmic ointment is it's too easy to complete thanks to the password system. However, if you limit your continues and crank it up to Jedi Level, Super Return Of The Jedi is the best in the series.

It had to happen eventually. The only thing LucasArts loved more than pimping out its Star Wars franchise, was finishing a lucrative trilogy. So when Super Empire Strikes Back became the new buzzword, you could have bet dollars to doughnuts that you'd be seeing a final Super Star Wars game. This is that game.

The Mode 7 levels are just incredible. You'll pilot a new-fangled landspeeder, a speeder-bike on Endor and finally the Millennium Falcon itself as you make your way down the depths of the Death Star. Super Return of the Jedi is a blast even if you're not a fan of the Star Wars series. A guaranteed hit.

Tout comme le film dont il est tiré, Super STAR WARS : Return of the Jedi cherche moins à révolutionner la saga qu'il clôt qu'à la boucler de la façon que tout le monde espérait : en ne touchant à rien et en poussant tous les curseurs à fond. Le résultat est dans la parfaite continuité des deux précédents épisodes, avec un équilibrage toujours aussi perfectible et une jouabilité qui est encore un peut brute de décoffrage, mais la grande variété du jeu, sa longévité et sa réalisation exemplaire aident à oublier rapidement les quelques séquences sur lesquelles on aura l'occasion de pester : dans le domaine de l'action/plateforme, on a quand même rarement fait aussi jouissif, particulièrement pour les fans de la trilogie originale. Certes, on aurait apprécié quelques petits perfectionnements, un roster cherchant un peu moins à coller au film et quelques niveaux mieux rythmés (en particulier cette scène finale interminable), mais autant qu'on râle en se répétant qu'il n'y a rien de neuf, le constat est là : on s'amuse toujours. Du défoulement comme on n'en fait plus.

Návrat Jediho je plný vynikajících nápadů, bohužel však někdy ne příliš originálních. Některé části hry mi připadaly jako okopírované ze Lvího krále a to jak po grafické, tak po obsahové stránce. Han Solo se prodírá zatuchlou zónou více než nápadně podobnou hřbitovní úrovni ve Lvím králi. Wicket jezdí na vodopádech a houpe se na větvích stejně jako lvíček na opicích, atd. Na druhou stranu jsem však zaznamenal nějaké skvělé a velmi zábavné momenty. Výborný je nejen landspeeder v první části, ale také let tunelem v posledních dvou úrovních, který lze snadno pokořit po získání jakéhosi know-how. [...] Po grafické stránce je Návrat Jediho proveden nadprůměrně (až na některé pasáže typu jízda na motorce) a celou atmosféru dotváří samozřejmě vynikající hudba z filmu. Jistě by se našlo pár věcí, který by se daly Návratu Jediho vytknout (například přehnané množství propastí), ale globálně je SRotJ výborná a především zábavná hra, která se jistě zapíše do zlatého herního fondu minulosti.

Het spel is qua gameplay identiek aan zijn voorganger, behalve dan dat het moeilijker is. Ondanks dit gebrek aan originaliteit blijven de spellen uit de Star Wars serie top-platforms.

Lens of Truth (8 out of 10) (80%)

For the final entry in the SSW trilogy, developers almost gave us the perfect 2D Star Wars game. Controls are tight, graphics are fantastic and the minor gameplay tweaks really add a nice polish to the series. The only thing holding this one back from being the best in the series are some of the most repetitive, longest, and annoying levels in the entire trilogy. This doesn’t mean SRotJ isn’t a fun game – if you’re a Star Wars fan you’ll have a good time.

Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi is an excellent adaptation of the movie and a great action game overall. This is far and away the best of SNES trilogy and offers something for fans of both action and platformers. Exceptional production values make this one of 1994’s better titles and a gem in the SNES library.

Anstatt sich zur Abwechslung mal was Neues einfallen zu lassen, setzten die Programmierer auf das zweifach bewährte Spielsystem. So werden Freunde der beiden Vorgänger auch von Return of the Jedi begeistert sein, denn viele der Level erinnern stark an die Vorgänger. Auch einige 3D-Level wurden wieder integriert, allerdings hat mich keiner so beeindruckt wie der Kampf gegen die Walker in Empire Strikes Back. Die Grafik wirkt im Vergleich zu den ersten Teilen noch detaillierter, die Bosse am Ende jedes Levels füllen manchmal den größten Teil des Bildschirms (speziell der Rancor). Enttäuscht haben mich eigentlich nur die letzten Spielabschnitte, denn vom Kampf gegen Darth Vader und den Emperor hatte ich mir doch mehr erwartet. Beim Sound waren die Entwickler faul und haben bei den beiden Vorgängern geklaut Ansonsten gehört Return of the Jedi zu den schwersten Action-Modulen, ein Classic hat es wegen der Parallelen zu den Vorgängern nur knapp erreicht.

Viel zu lange habe ich auf den abschließenden Teil der Star Wars-Trilogie gewartet, nun endlich halte ich das Spiel in den Händen und freue mich wie ein kleines Kind auf diese Testsession. Die Grafik und der Sound wurden im Vergleich zu den beiden Vorgängern nicht verändert, was natürlich kein Nachteil ist, soll heißen: Orchestrale Musik aus den Kinofilmen sowie abwechslungsreiche Levelgrafiken. In diesem Teil bekommt Ihr außerdem die umfangreichste Sammlung an 3D-Runden aller Versionen zu Gesicht (insgesamt sechs). Trotzdem hat mich Return Of The Jedi nicht mehr so begeistert wie die beiden Vorgänger, und das weil sich wirklich gar nichts, aber auch überhaupt nichts geändert hat, vom Levelaufbau und Schwierigkeitsgrad ganz zu schweigen. Echte Star Wars-Fans lassen sich aber deshalb noch lange nicht vergraulen und werden das Spiel so verschlingen wie die anderen Teile zuvor.

La principal pega de Return of the Jedi es que se antoja demasiado similar a los otros dos Super Star Wars, es más de lo mismo, sin novedades de gran relevancia ni extras desbloqueables como podían ser armas o trajes alternativos. No obstante éste es un buen juego de acción y plataformas en 2D que gustará a los seguidores de la saga por su desarrollo variado, sus grandes dosis de acción y su estilo fiel a la película. La serie Super Star Wars está disponible al completo en la consola virtual de Wii por un precio de 8€ cada episodio y quienes decidáis darle una oportunidad debéis saber que os enfrentáis a tres de los títulos más difíciles de todo el catálogo de Super Nintendo. Que la fuerza os acompañe.

Im Vergleich zu den beiden Vorläufern hat sich das Spiel kaum verändert. Einzelheiten wie das Laserschwert von Luke wurden nochmal aufpoliert. Ansonsten könnte man die drei Module glatt miteinander verwechseln, wenn man mal davon absieht, daß es ein paar Charaktere mehr gibt und die Grafik, außer in den 3-D-Sequenzen, etwas stimmungsvoller geraten ist. Die Musik ist aufgrund der Vorlage aus dem Filmen fantastisch, und zudem auch technisch sehr gut gelungen. Fazit: Wer eines der beiden ersten Modulen besitzt, braucht sich „Super Return of the Jedi“ nur dann zuzulegen, wenn er ein absoluter Star-Wars-Fan ist.

Die filmgetreue Umsetzung mit detaillierten Grafiken und dem coolen Soundtrack ist noch wie vor gelungen. Doch die Schwächen im Gameplay sind geblieben: Die extralange Energieleiste und viele Herzen zeigen nämlich, daß die Entwickler bewußt unfaire Stellen in Kauf genommen haben. Neben den allzu hartnäckigen Feinden nerven zudem die quälend langen Kämpfe mit den Endgegnern.
