The game is divided in 2 stories, Hero and Dark. The last story is unlocked when beating both. Each story has a speed, treasure hunter, and shooting character.

Sonic, the Hero speed character, doing a trick on a ramp. In this specific part of the animation, it looks like he's T-posing.

The treasure hunter characters have to look for objects like master emerald pieces, following the signal of the beeping radar.

The shooting characters can lock on to enemies and objects to blow them up.

The game has boss fights against different kinds of enemies, like army robots.

Some of the boss fights will be against the character's counterpart from the other story.
