All-in-all, the many game modes including Arcade, Tournament, Multiplayer, Exhibition, World Tour and Practice give Pool Hall Pro a lot of bang for your buck. The title retails at an MSRP of $29.99, and is the best pool experience on any of the current generation consoles. Get ready to spend a lot of time playing pool; you wont regret it.

Presentation may be lacking, but as a whole Pool Hall Pro is a decent game of billiards for a reasonable price. The motion controls work well enough that you won't be wrestling with them, and the sheer amount of modes make up for a lot of the other shortcomings. Once you get the handle of how things work you could easily get addicted to this game. If you own a Wii and are looking to shoot some pool with your friends without having to deal with cigarette smoke and drunken cowboys then this may just be your answer. It is much cheaper than buying an actual table.

It's hard to really judge this game. On one hand, it's a pretty robust billiards game for the Wii, and it certainly tries hard to make the game as broad and enjoyable as possible. On the other hand, there are Internet-based Flash games that have better physics and comparable graphics, albeit with a shorter feature set. For the gamers out there who love pool, then this title would certainly fit well among their collection. For other casual gamers, the game is worth a play or two, but the frustrating controls and the juggernaut AI will likely prove disappointing for any repeat playing, thus killing any longevity the title might have.

Sadly what little I can say about this game in a good way is so little that I am left with the fact I can only give this a recommendation of “Rent if you are totally bored” because this is one game that should have worked on the Wii but was thrown out the door without any serious work put into the graphics, design, gameplay, audio and controls.
