Description official descriptions

Toobin' involves Biff and Jet racing their way down the rapids of a river, riding on tires. You rotate your tyre left or right, and drift as the current sends you, making sure to avoid the banks of the river, and the dividing lines in the middle. Hazards include crocodiles, stray logs, branches and fishermen - you are armed with a limited supply of tin cans to take care of these. There are gates to slide through on the way down - these give you a points bonus. Each level has a strict time limit to adhere to, although there's a kickin' party at the end if you succeed.

Watch Out for them croca….croca….Alligators!

The Good
Like in the better Spectrum games, the animation is smooth and beautiful. Despite Spectrum’s limitations, there are some bits of colour,,,,otherwise mostly monochrome yellow.

The Bad
If you are on the 48K version, the audio can be pretty bad. The 128K version has added music. Also, the colours are off like most Spectrum games.

The Bottom Line
If you don’t mind the limitations of the Spectrum, this is a strong and fun arcade port. The gameplay works really well with decent scrolling.

Watch Out for them croca….croca….Alligators!

The Good
Music is awesome. The game is fun. Although, a little frustrating getting through all the elements.

The Bad
Complaints were made by reviewers about ugly graphics. I think most of that is C64’s limitations. Also, an extra button on an emulator for acceleration makes the game better.

The Bottom Line
There are some warts. But I enjoyed playing the game, especially with Matt Furniss’s fabulous score on the equally fabulous SID on the 64!
