Perimeter II: New Earth is the sequel to Perimeter. The basics of this strategy game have remained the same from its predecessor. In this colorful RTS game players have to create perimeters that render nearby units invulnerable. Perimeters use energy, the only resource in the game, to use so they must be used sparingly. Players can also use terraforming to change the terrain to their advantage.
The story revolves around two factions, the Exodus and the Harkback. Both originally came from Earth and the one wants to move on while the other wants to go back. Combat ensues.
Exodus has a terrain advantage on land while the Harkback have a terrain advantage on water. Using terraforming the player can change water in to land and vice versa. Different resource and construction buildings can be placed as well as various turrets. Units are built in squads and each squad requires a single dedicated factory. Some squads can change from land to air or naval units on the fly.
