Description
Star Wars is an unlicensed simulation game that takes place in the Star Wars universe. The player takes control of Han Solo and his spaceship, the Millennium Falcon. The aim of the game is to reach Yavin IV, but Darth Vadar [sic.] will try to stop him. The game is played in turns and at each turn the player may choose one of seven actions to perform. These include firing weapons (long range lasers, medium range warheads, or short range heavy guns), approach, retreat, or use the hyper drive.
Each action costs an amount of energy which is only available in limited amounts. The player can move normally at 0.9 times the speed or light without spending energy units, but can use the hyper drive in short bursts to go several multiples of the speed of light. After using the hyper drive the engines have to cool down before they can be used again or they'll break down.
When firing weapons there's a miss chance. Darth Vadar's ship has basically the same functionality as the Millennium Falcon and is controlled by the computer.
