Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue
Description
The third Ninja Turtle adventure on the Game Boy takes place one year after the events of the last game. Shredder has escaped from prison, and managed to capture turtle-friendly reporter April O'Neal yet again! Only this time, he manages to capture three of the turtles, Raphael, Donatello, and Leonardo, before the game even starts. So, you start out as Michaelangelo on a quest to rescue your pals and restore justice to the city.
Radical Rescue differs from the previous Ninja Turtle games greatly in terms of level structure. The linear levels have been replaced with one huge interconnected fortress. You progress through the game by finding the various bosses hidden within the fortress, defeating them, and then using the keys they leave behind to open up new rooms. When you happen to find one of the turtles that has been captured, they become a playable character.

The Good
This game is probably the best TMNT game i have ever played. The different direction from the typical side scrolling is a welcome difference.
The the slight metroid take on the game makes it very welcome, and there are a lot of puzzles that always keep you involved. It is an incredibly hard game (again like metroid), but really keeps you addicted. Its a very long game, partly because its so hard, and its not for the faint hearted. The atmosphere and music is very gritty for a TMNT game. And considering i played this when i was very young, it was quite scary. Its quite amazing that a game boy game of its age can still make you get scared when you enter the long corridor before the boss, and there's that sound of the screeching door...you don't want to carry on.
The Bad
The fact that the turtles have limited uses and can't do much, for example: Leonardo can spin downwards and destroy blocks, but the ability isn't used much in the game. The turtle favored most for play would be Michelangelo, as he has a great hoovering ability, and since all turtles in the game have the same attacks he is the best to use.T
The Bottom Line
A metroid type turtles game that is very difficult, but very good.

Funny at first, annoying later.
The Good
One of the good features of this game is that the levels are connected together. The story is a bit like Mario, where you have to rescue a lady from the evil guys. When the game first starts, I was amazed by how simple the game was. Defeating a few enemies, and getting to the opening of the fortress.
The Bad
After a while things become more and more complicated. The enemies get tougher. When i got to the first boss, I found it impossible to defeat him. He was much bigger than me, and he killed me after a few seconds. A password got me pass the boss. But then I didn't know what to do next. The problem was the size of the level. Another password got me to the first cell where I rescued one of the turtles. Thank the maker for the passwords.
The Bottom Line
To big, weak characters. This game is very hard to complete. If you're very good and need a challenge, then this is the game for you.
