Overall, Assassin's Creed II Discovery offers a very solid platformer with entertaining gameplay that fans of the series will love. The controls and visuals are the highlight, which most people will find either very intuitive once learnt, or quite frustrating if they can't get the hang of it.

Assassinâs Creed II boasts a few extras, such as a stats board with your progress and a âWantedâ poster you can customize with a picture, but there is no multiplayer mode or further unlockable content. (A stand alone multiplayer game is in the works, however). Still, devotees of the console game definitely wonât have a problem shelling out $10 for the pocket version, and neither will anyone else whoâs into action games.

Assassin's Creed II: Discovery just needed a few tweaks to go from a decent game to a great one. Pulling back the camera to show more game area during high-speed chases is the biggest required change, as it would cut down on needless falls and deaths. It's unfortunate that the pacing of the free-running might frustrate too many gamers to the point of giving up, because Discovery tells a great story that fits nicely in Ezio's timeline.
