Rockstar Games' State Of Emergency Xbox Set to Hit Retail March 26th

Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing division of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), proudly announces the street date for State of Emergency for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. Developed by VIS, State of Emergency, already a "Greatest Hits" title for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system is expected to hit retail shelves at a MSRP of $19.99 on March 26th, 2003 in North America, and will be available in Europe on April 4th, 2003.

State of Emergency is a riot—a total free-for-all where you have to beat up everything and everyone in order to make your way through the game. Set in four enormous and fully interactive environments, including the Mall, Chinatown, the East Side, and Corporation Central, the games 118 diverse and entertaining missions range from protection to punishment. But, watch out: You'll have to act strategically to not harm the civilians. Play as one of five rebels, each with different strengths and weaknesses and each with their own underlying motives for toppling the Corporation. The deep selection of hand-to-hand fighting moves includes deadly combinations, grab-and-dash attacks, foot stomp attacks, and punches. A ton of super-destructive weapons also make a big impact in helping you cause mayhem on the streets of Capitol City. The full arsenal includes an Uzi, AK47, M16, Flame Thrower, Rocket Launcher, Molotov Cocktail and Tazer. And, watch yourself—Corporation Enforcers prowl the streets looking to stop trouble and are ready to use any and all means necessary to do so. This is a State of Emergency, after all.
