Centuries of oppression have plagued the ancient world of Yavaun and the time has come to put an end to the tyranny! Four unique races inhabit this war-torn alien world, each with its own strengths, weaknesses and distinctive A.I.’s and you will experience their epic struggle first hand. Learn about each races’ plight through dozens of spell-binding 3D cinematics and pledge your allegiance to the mentally astute Tha’Roon, the combat driven Obblinox, the industrious Eaggra, or the mystical Shama’Li.

How will you affect your victory? Through combat, spell-casting, diplomacy or economic prowess? It’s up to you. Choose combat and advanced combat options including bio-mechanically enhanced vehicles, stealth movement and race-specific war machines - they are yours for the taking! The more training and experience gained, the quicker your units will advance through the ranks. Carry up to eight of your favorite units from one exciting scenario to the next in the same campaign. "This is what distinguishes War Wind from the other strategy games. It’s like having four games in one! Four races, each of which has its own world and unique gameplay features.", states Chuck Kroegel, President of SSI and an ardent strategy gamer. In addition, you can place your units in battles you’ve created via the powerful Scenario Editor. Gain prestige and attract wandering heroes to aid in your campaigns.
