Colin McRae Rally 2.0

Colin McRae Rally 2.0 from Ubi Soft brings the internationally popular sport of rally racing home to the Game Boy Advance. Chiefly a hobbyist pastime stateside, rally racing commands a huge following overseas, where Englishman McRae is reckoned a major sports star.

Choose from five officially licensed rally cars to race in six of the most demanding locations across the globe. Racers will have to navigate treacherous hairpin turns on pavement, dirt, mud, snow, ice and sand.

Each terrain type affects the handling of your car differently, requiring players to adjust driving styles from race to race. To compensate for the different racing conditions, players can also customize their cars' transmission, suspension, tires, brakes, and steering. Depending on the terrain, cars can get muddy or even damaged, which ultimately affects the way your vehicle performs.

Fortunately, players will get aural assistance from Mr. McRae himself. Colin acts as your in-game navigator to warn you about the length and sharpness of upcoming turns and bends in the road. Onscreen indicators also help prevent drivers from careening off the track.

The beautiful 3D graphics really showcase the Game Boy Advance's capabilities with fully textured mapped polygonal cars and race venues. Cars will accurately slide and lean around the turns, just as they would in real life. After each race, the game showcases your performance in a multi-angle, 3D replay.

Colin McRae Rally 2.0 features smooth 3D graphics and realistic car physics. The steep learning curve may make the game frustrating to racing novices but hardcore gearheads will find plenty to play with.

For gamers with some friends and a Game Boy Advance Link Cable, Colin McRae Rally 2.0 also offers single Pak/multiplayer play. Two to four racers can choose from any of the five licensed vehicles and compete against each other on special arcade tracks.

Colin McRae Rally 2.0 drives into stores this September and is rated "E" for Everyone.
