Description
Clark Kent, a mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, possesses a secret - when he pulls off his coat, he becomes Superman, a strange being from another planet with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. Our hero will need those powers and abilities, because Earth is under attack again! Time for Superman to take some serious action.
The game is basically an alternative multi-scrolling beat'em up and multi-scrolling shoot'em up. Some of the stages are set on ground level where Superman can walk or fly at a low attitude and some find Superman flying high as the action changes to a shoot'em up.
Superman has a handy special attack punch which is achieved by holding down the punch button a few times. However, as useful as it is, Superman cannot move while charging.
Two players can play simultaneously, with the second player controlling a palette-swapped clone of Superman.
