Sokobond
Description
Sokobond is a puzzle game that combines the movement of the Soko-Ban games with the realistic behaviour of chemical elements. It consists of over 100 levels played on a single screen. To complete a level elements need to be combined in the correct way to form a molecule. No knowledge of chemistry is required, but the game provides some facts/trivia about the molecules when a level is completed.
In each level only one element can be controlled directly. Using the arrow keys it can be moved around the playfield. Based on its properties it binds with other elements in four possible directions and the correct configuration needs to be figured out to complete a level. Levels are grouped together based on a certain element of property. A set is unlocked gradually and then it branches out to form a large field, so levels do not need to be completed in a linear order. More advanced levels require additional techniques, such as pushing around elements that do not bind, the unique properties of helium, using elements in the playfield to rearrange molecules, separating bonded atoms, double bonds, and controlling multiple molecules. When stuck or after making a mistake it is possible to undo moves or to reset the entire level.
