Insanity's Blade

Insanity's Blade is a retro-styled action platformer based on the graphic novel of the same name. The game follows Thurstan and his loyal friend Finn as they must journey to hell to save the souls of Thurstan's wife and child. The game can be played cooperatively, with the second player controlling Finn through most of the game and other supporting characters at some points.

Thurstan can attack by punching or throwing daggers, as well as climb on walls. If Thurstan is unarmed he can also grapple, hurling enemies into each other or tearing them limb from limb. Finn's moveset is more restricted, being limited to a melee-range axe attack. Killed enemies may drop health items or gold, which can be used to permanently upgrade Tristan's or Finn's attack power or health, or buy extra lives if needed. Kills also grant experience point, which will upgrade players' health bar when reaching a new level. You can also find special weapons by performing side quests.

The two basic game modes are Story Mode, where you have a world map and select main or side quests, and arcade mode, a streamlined experience where there is no saving and no side quests.
