Broforce is a 2D run-and-gun platform game with gameplay similar to the Metal Slug series and with brick-based destructible terrain. The player plays as one of the "Bros" - parodies of action movies' heroes like Rambo, Commando, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Judge Dread etc. It also has Ripley from Aliens, but the player must unlock most of characters by rescuing hostages first. The gameplay is straightforward and very fast. Each character has main weapons, a knife and a limited special weapon. They must reach the end of the level, killing various enemies on the way. When a civilian is rescued, an additional live is provided for the next Bro to use.
