Putrefaction

In the near future a dangerous virus starts spreading which turns people into hideous and violent mutants. An elite squad of soldiers are sent to find the source of the disease and stop it. As a member of this squad, you are sent to investigate a distant mountain area where you discover a hidden facility amidst all the mutants.

Putrefaction is a sci-fi horror first-person shooter. Using seven weapons, ranging from an axe and the usual assault rifle and shotgun to rocket launcher, electric gun and a freeze gun, you have to fight your way through science facilities, underground caves and ancient temples. Health is replenished by finding med kits around the levels, as is ammo. Periodically through the campaign you will come across a new weapon to add to your arsenal. The game features boss battles at the midpoint and end of the game.

There is also a survival mode, where the player has to defend against increasingly difficult waves of enemies as weapons, ammo and health spawn randomly around the map.
