Risk
Description
Risk is a computer adaptation of the well known board game. Like previous games based on the concept it is a game of strategy that is played on a world map where the objective is to take control of all 42 territories. The game is played by three to six generals that can be human or AI controlled. There are several different computer generals to choose from, each having their own character and strategy with varying difficulty.
There are two variants of the game. One where the players claim territories at the start and one where this is done randomly by the computer. Once all territories have been claimed, players take turns attacking, reinforcing and fortifying. Battles are started by moving troops to an adjacent enemy territory and a dice roll decides who will win. When all enemy units have been destroyed the attacker wins that territory and can move troops over. To speed up the game it is possible to turn on auto roll of dice and quick battle where the result is given directly. By conquering territories, territory cards are collected and when having three of the same kind they can be turned in for additional units.
