Inutile d'y aller par quatre chemins, Nintendo nous a, une fois de plus, concocté là un jeu fédérateur, capable d'augmenter substantiellement les ventes de sa console. 1080° pousse le souci du détail à l'extrême. Que ce soit au niveau graphique ou sonore. Jamais la sensation de surfer n'a été aussi proche de la réalité, sur console aussi bien qu'en arcade. En outre, la multiplicité des modes de jeux assure à 1080° une durée de vie sans précédent. Enfin, nous conclurons par l'aspect résolument convivial du mode « deux joueurs », qui a converti tous les membres de X64 aux joies de la glisse.

Für Freunde des knackigen Sports verspricht das Import-Modul phantastische Unterhaltung in brillante Qualität und guter Ausstattung. Zugreifen ist also angesagt!

If you are even mildly intrested in snowboarding this game is for you. I'm sure glad that the developer named EAD (also responsible for WaveRace and F-Zero-X) are second party developer and the grubby hands of Sony can't get their hands on them. (webmaster's note: EAD is a in-house development team on Nintendo) If I had to sum this game up in 2 words-Pure Class.

En effet, les manipulations sont parfois très compliquées et les figures ne sont disponibles que si vous avez réussi celles qui les précèdent sur la liste. Mis à part ce détail qui ne fera que renforcer votre intérêt et votre acharnement à terminer le jeu, 1080° Snowboarding est parfait. Il devient ainsi la nouvelle référence des sports de glisse sur console !

1080 tient ses promesses et en met plein la vue même s'il n'est pas le jeu du siècle. Un très bon jeu qui fait du bien à la logithèque de la N64 !

Une fois de plus, c'est un titre développé par Nintendo qui nous montre de quoi la machine est capable. Mais comme la perfection n'est pas de ce monde, nous devons signaler que le jeu comporte de vilains ralentissements. Pour être franc, le plaisir est tellement intense que l'on n'y prête même plus attention.

One negative aspect of the game is the soundtrack, which dishes out some of the most repetitive crap I've ever heard in a video game. Also, I noticed that some characters have trouble nailing their landings even after performing simple tricks. Otherwise 1080 is a phenomenal title that's hard to put down. A nice two-player split screen mode is included and the cartridge automatically saves high scores. Before SSX came along, nothing could touch this.

As with many of Nintendo's games this is another split screen multiplayer game. Even though it is split screen it is still a lot of fun, everybody enjoys boarding past there opponent and flicking a bit of snow in there eyes. In two player mode, the players can only race each other which means there are no other computer opponents. Overall this is one of the best multiplayer racing games I have played.

There's a good variety of tracks, including a half pipe and an air-make high jump track. Plus, once you beat the five expert courses, secret tracks open up. A two-player option--and a variety of different play modes--also insure that playing 1080 won't get old too quickly. If it does, sit back and admire the lush graphics--down to the ripple of the riders' jackets in the rushing wind--and be amazed by this game. 1080 Degree Snowboarding--to all gamers, not just snowboard freaks like me--is one of the few true must-have games for the Nintendo 64. Go buy it.

Polecam grę każdemu posiadaczowi N64, ponieważ jest to jedna z nielicznych gier, która za tak niewiele oferuje tak wiele. Jeśli dodatkowo jesteś fanem deskorolek, łyżworolek, no i oczywiście snowboardu, oraz bawi cię wykonywanie karkołomnych ewolucji, to dla ciebie jest to po prostu tytuł obowiązkowy. Jedynymi grami na Nintendo 64 o zbliżonej tematyce jest seria Tony Hawk, która do najtańszych nie należy, dlatego myślę, że warto zainteresować się 1080 Snowboarding, bo chociaż nie jest tak rozreklamowana, jak inne gry, to jednak gwarantuje kilkadziesiąt godzin porządnej rozrywki. Odradzam jednak jakiekolwiek próby grania w nią na dwóch graczy. Jako rekompensatę dostajemy tryb Trick Attack, w którym można grać na Half Pipe nawet w kilka osób po kolei, ponieważ pojedynczy zjazd zajmuje jedynie czterdzieści sekund, a zabawa jest naprawdę przednia.

1080° Snowboarding ist der momentan erhältlichen Konkurrenz (egal ob Konsole oder sogar Spielhallenautomat!) sowie grafisch als auch spielerisch meilenweit überlegen - und der zweite Teil steht in den Startlöchern, soll noch diesen Winter (zumindest als NTSC-Version) veröffentlicht werden. Bis dahin werden wir aber weiterhin bei jeder sich uns bietenden Gelegenheit den ersten Teil zocken. 1080° Snowboarding - ein weiteres Meisterwerk von “Mr. Mario“ Shigeru Miyamoto!

1080° Snowboarding est actuellement ce qui se fait de mieux sur la console, et le soft peut même rivaliser avec certaines productions d'arcade, ce qui n'est pas peu dire. Tous les amateurs de snowboard peuvent donc se jeter dessus les yeux fermés. Quant aux autres, je leur conseillerai de l'essayer avant d'acheter, car le genre peut ne pas plaire à tout le monde.

TenEighty stellt alle anderen Snowboardspiele in den Schatten. Nie zuvor habe ich bei einem Spiel dieses Genres soviel Spaß gehabt. Es fängt schon mit der Präsentation an, die die coole Atmosphäre der Boarderszene so richtig gut einfängt. (...) Daß außer im Zwei-Spieler-Modus der N64-übliche Nebel fast völlig eliminiert wurde, fällt sehr positiv auf. Überhaupt ist TenEighty grafisch sehr gut gelungen. Störender Garfikaufbau ist nur sehr selten zu beobachten, die detailreich gestatteten Pisten fallen durch ihre abwechslungsreiche Streckenführung positiv auf. Kritikpunkte gibt es eigentlich nur wenige: Manchmal verschwinden die Boards im Schnee, was nicht immer auf Tiefschnee-Fahrten zurückzuführen ist. Außerdem könnte der Schwierigkeitsgrad für echte Cracks bald zu niedrig sein. Diese Punkte fallen aber so gering ins Gewicht, daß ich bedenkenlos meine Kaufempfehlung aussprechen kann.

Im Pulk der zahllosen Snowboarder-Games profiliert sich 1080° als realistischste, skrupelloseste und spaßbringendste Boarder-Simulation im digitalen Bereich. Die Steuerung ist absolut durchdacht und fühlt sich physikalisch recht realistisch an. Leider gibt es nur sechs Kurse, die jedoch konsequent durch verschiedene Witterungs- und Tageszeiten-Einflüsse aus geschlachtet werden. Davon aber mal abgesehen gehört 1080° zu den besten Vertretern seiner Gattung, das zweifelsohne in jede Nintendo-64-Sammlung gehört.

Also, mir wäre eine richtige Rennsimulation lieber gewesen, bei der es auf realistischen Wegen um Sekunden geht. Mario Kart 64 litt darunter sehr, und hier ist es nicht anders. Wo bleibt der Spielspaß, wenn man zähneknirschend und mit lauter Spannung gegen den Computer antritt und es am Ende doch nichts nützt? Man könnte jetzt behaupten, der Spielspaß bleibt auf der Strecke aber das tut er ja nicht (tolle Metapher, nicht wahr?). 1080° Snowboarding ist dennoch das beste Snowboard-Spiel für das N64. Trotzdem bleiben die genannten Makel, und der Spielspaß hält meiner Meinung nach auch nicht allzu lange an. Nach einigen Stunden hatte ich alle Strecken außer einer geöffnet, und nur das unfaire Schummeln der computergesteuerten Fahrer hielt mich von der letzten zurück. Frustrierend! Wenn Du jedoch auf knallharte Snowboard-Action mit realistischen Zügen stehst, kommst Du um dieses Spiel nicht drumherum, Rauf aufs Brett und cooooool sein!

Nintendo's 1080° Snowboarding is a remarkable game and our hats are off to the big 'N.' With a handful of unique tracks, air-make and half-pipe modes, two-player and Rumble Pak support, an ultra-realistic look with spectacular graphics and tons of tricks, jumps, and air there is a lot of fun to be had with this game. We only wish Nintendo had spent a few more months implementing additional tracks and removing invisible walls before its release. Still, snowboarding fanatic or not, you must get this game.

1080 Snowboarding is so close to being a classic it just makes me weep to think about it. My disappointment is one of degrees though. 1080 is solid, fun and definitely worth a purchase. But had they upped the AI a notch, provided a few more courses and improved the 2-player action, 1080 Snowboarding would have moved into a top spot with the N64's best of the best. Other than these quibbles (which may have benefited from more cartridge memory) this game is as solid as you get for the N64. The game has plenty of character, the snowboard options are plentiful, and it exhibits superb sound and a decent soundtrack (it's amazing how cool MIDI can be if done properly). But for all its numerous strengths, it simply will not keep me, or anyone else in the EP office, interested for more than a week. How sad, because they produced a beautiful game, just not enough of it.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment is the limited 2 player mode. You can race a friend via a split screen, which looks good and maintains the framerate. But tricks are of no consequence; it's only a matter of speed. I would like to have seen a 2 player race that involved tricks, maybe one where your final score is a combination of speed and trick points. Overall, 1080 Snowboarding is a worthy title. A few bugs aside, this is the best snowboard game out and a must for sports fans, period.

The "natural" physics that are evident in Wave Race are equally as impressive in 1080 Degrees, and the rumble pack makes things just that little bit more exciting. It's not a perfect game, and one that is fairly easy to beat, so I won't give it top marks. But until the next 'boardin' game comes along, this is the current daddy!

Though 1080 shows its age from time to time, playing the game is still satisfying. The combo system gives the game a steep learning curve, but when hitting a 1080 for the first time felt like an incredible accomplishment. The game takes a more down to earth approach to snowboarding which is appreciated. Fans of board sport games should take a look at games like 1080 and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater if they want to see what the predecessors to games like SSX were like.

1080° Snowboarding isn't as instantly accessible as many other Nintendo games on the N64 and its tough-to-master controls are likely to be a turn-off for some players. However, if you put in the time to learn its nuances you'll find an exhilarating racer with some excellent course design and plenty of fun shortcuts to find.
