BMX XXX doesnât make new leaps and bounds for future BMX games, but it is enjoyable. There isnât a whole lot of modes, but there is enough. The Hardcore Mode (Career mode) has enough missions to keep you busy for quite a while. Itâs understandable why AKA Acclaim and Z-Axis made BMX XXX the way they did, âaction-sportsâ are starting to look too similar. Iâm pretty sure you wonât confuse this game with other BMX games. The change of pace is much appreciated. Acclaim is pushing the ESRB ratings to the limit.

I had fun with some of XXX's over-the-top crudeness. Some of the triggered events are well done and humorous. And indeed if it's just cuss words and nudity you're looking for, you've come to the right place as this game's got both in abundance. But these scripted events survive between flawed challenges and an irritating camera system, and having played through the far better interactive worlds of Aggressive Inline and the more polished structure of Tony Hawk 4, there's no going back. Even if it means passing up on the chance to see some Scores girls take it all off.

Like any extreme sports game, this game has a lot of replay value. You can play over and over to unlock new secrets, and beat it with different characters. The humor may get old to some, but for college aged people, it won't, and you will laugh over and over again. This game has a couple things college males just can not get enough of, boobs and bathroom humor.

BMX XXX is a mixed bag of tricks. Some gamers will want to play purely for the T and A factor, others will want to play for the hit or miss BMXing that's provided, but in the end, the game has too many shortcomings to really compete with the other high-end extreme games out there. If your curiosity needs to be quenched, then I highly suggest renting the game before your hormones make you part with cold, hard cash.

Basically, the problem with BMX XXX is that it is one of those games that really doesnât have an audience. Those young enough to enjoy the toilet humor to the fullest are too young (presumably) to buy the game, and those old enough to buy it have probably will have heard all the jokes a million times before. If you want topless women and extreme sports together, youâd be better off buying a copy of Playboy and alternating reading it with runs of Tony Hawk. As for BMX XXX, leave it on the shelf and send a message that nudity is no excuse for making a shoddy game.

Acclaim and Z-Axis are the publisher-developer duo known for creating the Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX series. The series has always made for a functional entry in the action sports genre, but it's never broken through and reached the bar that the genre's cornerstone, the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series, sets year after year. The team did, however, make one breakthrough game in Aggressive Inline, an inline skating game that was released across all major platforms earlier this year. While one would expect the pairing's next game to improve upon their most recent work, BMX XXX goes back to its Dave Mirra BMX roots and contains most of the same gameplay problems found in the those games. It's also obfuscated by a layer of raunchy language, full-motion video of strippers, and some of the most confusing goals ever seen in a game of this sort.

For people too young to properly buy this game sadly it still doesnât deliver much more. True, you can see some boobies and giggle a few times at some of the outrageous tasks youâre asked to undertake but again, there is better in almost any form out there already. Take away the peripheral nonsense the game was marketed with and all youâre left with is an unremarkable extreme sports title. With that in mind, the final question ends up being why. Why objectify women and stereotype several races and social classes so callously, taking a ton of criticism in the process, and then settle for such a poor excuse for a pay-off on all levels?

Okay, this game is all about lust over strippers and hookers, not bmx. I warned you, just say no to this game if you have morals or are easily offended. Truth be told, I hate this game. Nothing in it is morally redeeming, or even fun. Stay with Tony, this is just the reason why. BMX XXX gets a F.
