Silicon Valley's only downfall, as far as I'm concerned, lies in the fact that it doesn't dish up a multiplayer mode. Had that been an option, it may have received a perfect score. Now is your chance to send a message. Amidst a sea of mediocrity, reward the developer that takes a chance, delivering an inventive, original game that is just as hilarious as it is addictive. Encourage games like this and more will follow.

Overall Space Station Silicon Valley is probably the most unique game on any platform and the makers deserve a lot of credit for taking a gamble on the likes of a game as unique as this. It's the type of game that you will either hate or love, and quite frankly I loved it.

This game is one of a kind. That is quite a compliment in this day and age. I think the developers should be commended for going out and trying something new and different. With all the different levels, environments, puzzles and animals, this is a game that is sure to keep you playing for hours. While the concept may sound a bit strange, the game is a blast once you get the hang of it (which shouldn't take too long). I suggest you check this game out.

Ceux qui privilégient la forme sur le fond iront donc voir ailleurs. Par contre, tous ceux qui recherchent un jeu original, long, varié, et surtout si drôle et décalé (ainsi que tout amateur de second degré digne de ce nom), ne pourront que tomber sous le charme de cette production vraiment pas comme les autres.

Silicon Valley ist schon deshalb bemerkenswert, weil es ein innovatives Spiel ist, das auch noch Spaß macht. Langeweile kommt durch die unzähligen verschiedenen Tiere mit den uneinheitlichen Steuerungseigenschaften nicht so schnell auf. Du kannst von einem laufenden Elefanten zu einem fliegenden Papagei und danach zu einem schwimmenden Fisch wechseln. jedes Level hat dadurch ein ganz eigenes Gameplay.

DMA hat es uns wieder einmal gezeigt. Ein erstklassiges Spiel braucht weder aufwendig gerenderte Zwischensequenzen, noch irgendwelche komplizierten Handlungsabläufe, um den Spieler in seinen Bann zu ziehen. Allein der Ideenreichtum, der sich in den mehr als 50 Tierarten widerspiegelt, zeugt davon, daß die Entwickler viel Spaß bei der Arbeit hatten. Die teilweise kniffligen Rätsel (oder besser gesagt, Hindernisse) scheinen zu Beginn unlösbar. Hat man sich aber erst einmal einen Überblick über die Stage beschafft, kann man sie durch den Einsatz von bestimmten Fähigkeiten einzelner Tiere systematisch lösen.

Spacestation: Silicon Valley har det där lilla extra, me ndet har inte så pass mycket att det klättrar upp och placerar sig bland de riktigt stora gossarna. Men originellt och roligt är det. Det råder det inga tvivel om.

Silicon Valley is een game die je nog lang bij zal blijven als je de moeite neemt om je erin te verdiepen. En ook al lijkt de gameplay simpel, dit spel is zwaar verslavend. Toppertje dus!

Hats off to Take 2 and developer DMA for taking a risk - we need to see more games like this, though there will never be another quite like it.

Nintendo Power Magazine (8.1 out of 10)

This game should open a few eyes if players give it a chance. As diverse as games get, including areas reminiscent of everything from Star Fox to Punch-Out!! to Frogger to Wave Race 64. This is my sleeper hit of the year. The Wallace & Gromit style of humor is a great touch.

If Silicon Valley manages to spark a return to traditional gameplay values, then Edge welcomes it with open arms.

Computer and Video Games (CVG) ( )

The game has been a long time in the making - it should have been one of the first N64 games. As a result, the graphics may seem a bit out-dated, with sparse locations and simple characters. But Silicon Valley is a game that benefits from simplicity. It's easy to figure out what's going on, and you can see far into the distance - which helps with certain puzzles. I enjoyed this a lot, although some may find it too simple - or like other N64 games - too cute. It's full of charm, playability and humour.

N-Philes (8 out of 10)

Space Station: Silicon Valley provides plenty of challenge, good sound, decent graphics, and a fun experience. The quirkiness of the game, along with its innovative premise, promises a pleasant time to be had by all the family.

Ingenuity is only part of the charm here; the largest part, but a part nonetheless. The quirky humor gives it personality. The array of animals and abilities give it value. It all comes together to form a game wholly unlike any before it or after. Not ugly enough to be an eyesore, not tough enough to be a nuisance, Silicon Valley is a game filled with something rarely seen these days: Originality.

Mega Fun (76 out of 100)

Wer sich bereits nach dem ersten Blick von Silicon Valley abwendet, nur weil er das etwas merkwürdige Gameplay nicht gleich versteht, läßt sich sicher ein ganz besonderes Spiel durch die Lappen gehen. Die interessante Idee mit dem Tierwechsel ist innovativ und verleiht dem Spiel seinen ganz eigenen Reiz. Es sind also die kleinen grauen Gehirnzellen gefragt, welche Kreatur für diese Aufgabe am besten geeignet ist. Leider zieht sich das Game spielerisch zu sehr die Länge und ist für meinen Geschmack zu geschicklichkeitslastig. Besonders die Action-Abschnitte empfand ich nicht als auflockernd, sondern eher als störend. Auch die aktive Kameraführung hätte wesentlich intelligenter gelöst werden können. So ist man auf die manuelle Nachjustierung per Pad angewiesen. Unterm Strich ist Silicon Valley aber durchaus jedem denkenden Geschicklichkeitsfreund zu empfehlen.

While SSSV isn't a Super Mario 64 by far, it actually does accomplish what it set out to do - entertain, amuse, and charm - even if it doesn't challenge you very much.

If you're looking for a game to show off the horsepower of your Nintendo 64, this ain't it. If you want a game that will keep you occupied until Star Wars I comes out, wait for Banjo Tooie. Don't be fooled by the numbers, though--SSSV aims for your funny bone as well as your trigger finger, and it balances both well in a wild ride. What's more, it may just go down in history as the best game to play on a buzz--as you get stupider, the game just gets funnier. And it's still great the next morning when you're sober.
