Graphically Pharaoh's Challenge is just average looking. The backgrounds are pretty static and really not as detailed as one would expect. Sound is basic with an overall Egyptian vibe. The animation of the various power-ups are neat at times but again nothing to write home about. My biggest complaint about the game is the Wii controller. It is not the best controller for this type of a game, even though all you're doing is going from left to right. There is just something off about the sensitivity. Also this game, also known as Luxor 2 (it even calls itself that on the save screen) seems a bit expensive at $40 when the PS2 version can be had for under $20 or a Xbox live version for even cheaper. In The End, This Game Hath Been Rated: 70%. Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge is enjoyable enough but doesn't justify its higher price.

Bien que Luxor Pharaoh's Challenge tire assez bien parti de son passage sur Wii, son prix paraît tout de même excessif en regard de ce que le soft a réellement à nous proposer. La concurrence est rude, et Luxor, malgré son concept accrocheur, propose tout de même beaucoup moins de contenu que la plupart des autres puzzle-games. Ajoutons enfin qu'un bon nombre de versions du jeu sont facilement accessibles sur le net sans qu'il soit nécessaire de débourser quoi que ce soit.

Luxor: Pharaoh’s Challenge is a casual puzzle game that could be effectively played in about ten minutes or a little more. If you seek the thrill of beating a game and want to see more and more of those little stubborn beetles squished than by all means go ahead and purchase this but wait till the price goes down.
