Once you get used to the feel of the game and have full command over the interface, Tee Off golf is a very enjoyable game. If it weren't for Hot Shots Golf, Tee Off would have warranted a much higher score and been much more enjoyable. As it stands it is very difficult to get excited over a game on a 128-bit system that is outdone in almost every category by a game on a 32-bit system. For this reason, fans of Hot Shots and Mario Golf should stick to their guns and avoid the purchase of the first Dreamcast golf game. If you don't own either the PSX or the N64 and are in need of a Golf game for your Dreamcast, then Tee Off may be worth its $50 price tag, albeit just barely.

Difficile de reprocher quelque chose Ă  Tee Off.

The course flyby is simply the best one in a golf game to date, and it actually helps with a shot. Textures could have been more convincing, but there's no denying that this is the smoothest golfy-goodness around. Camera angles are fine, and players can swoop around the 3D course at any time, to figure out hazards before they hit them. Like fishing, the experience is relaxing, taxing and trying, all at once and might possibly explain why fully-grown adults wear stupid pants to play it. All in all, it's a fun game with very few problems.

Defunct Games (B)

Tee Off is a rip-off of Hot Shots Golf, but it is also a good rip-off of Hot Shots Golf. With its extremely low challenge level, it may be more for the kids than those who regularly play golf games. However, with how hard the Dreamcast fell, the pros should feel lucky to get a golf game on the system at all.

GameSpot (7.1 out of 10)

Tee Off is a good, albeit generic, take on the new style of golf popularized by the people at Camelot, the developer of Hot Shots Golf. Golf fans with a DC hooked up to their television will surely have a good time with the game, even though it isn't quite as compelling as similar games appearing on other platforms.

Planet Dreamcast (7 out of 10)

Since this'll probably be the only DC golf game for a while, you might as well pick this up if you're aching for something to putt around with. Otherwise, this is a title that you should rent or borrow for a few days. There's nothing particularly wrong with Tee-Off, it's just doesn't have that extra "oomph." Tee-Off is competent and nicely produced, but the gameplay is generic and there isn't much (besides the graphics) that differentiates it from the multitude of other golf games available out there for other systems. In golf lingo, Tee-Off is par for the course. Oh well, you could do worse. And remember: a flute without holes, is not a flute. A donut without a hole, is a danish.

The Video Game Critic (B-)

Once you learn to deal with the limited camera angles however, Tee Off is a pleasure to play. I especially enjoyed the soundtrack, composed of catchy synthesized tunes worthy of a Sonic Adventure game. The pacing is pretty good, but it still took about an hour to go 18 holes against the CPU. The game prompts you to save your progress after every three holes, which is a great feature. A fun bonus game called G-Ball is also included, which plays a lot like croquet. It's not flashy or original, but Tee Off Golf is a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

Game Revolution (C+)

Eardrum violations aside, Tee Off doesn't really do anything wrong. Fans of this kind of thing will be satisfied. But satisfaction is far from greatness, and Tee Off just seems content settling for the established mechanics. As the first golf title for the DC, it really could have added some oomph, particularly in terms of depth and innovation. Instead, this is merely an adequate diversion and an uninspired beginning to Dreamcast golf.
