Adventure Park is a managerial simulation in which the player manages an amusement park. The gameplay mechanics are similar to the Rollercoaster Tycoon series and the overall goal is obviously to earn as much money as possible.
Of course this can't be accomplished with an empty map and therefore the player must built up a park by using the available attractions and stores. Here it is important to keep the customers' needs in mind: they require a useful road network to reach the buildings and a good distribution of stores and infrastructure items like toilets or garbage bins. Another aspect it the reason they entered the park in the first place: attractions! The tracks of rollercoasters and similar attractions is built by the players - options are steep curves or changes in altitude; there are no loopings. The excitement of an attraction is measured with "G-force" - too low bores the visitors and too much can result in sickness or even physical injury.
Besides building the park, the game also has a strong managerial aspect. The player can set the price of the park entrance, the attractions and even the single items in the stores. Staff is required to keep the park clean, the decoration objects in shape and the attractions repaired. During the course of the game, it is important to keep the cash flow and expenses in mind and constantly optimize the prices/staff. The visitors which walk around the park give constant feedback about what they like or dislike. Besides the free playing mode with customizable starting conditions there also also five campaigns with predefined conditions and goals.
