DescriptionAirport 2000 is an unofficial add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 1998. It greatly improves the visuals of some of the airports present in the game, namely: Atlanta, Miami, Barcelona, Nice, Boston, Heathrow, Schiphol and O'Hare. New attention to detail adds shuttles that drive around, wagons that transport luggage and car traffic around the airport.
The game also introduces new airplanes such as the Airbus 320, Avro RJ100, McDonnell Douglas 83, and the Boeing 767. Some already present planes have received upgraded and improved textures and alternative skins.
The game is complete with some preset adventures that show off the new airports.
In March 2000, coinciding with the release of Vol.2 in the series, Wilco also released a free update for owners of the original Vol.1 product, to make it compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000. This update was available for download on Wilcos website, and included on the 'Airport 2000: Volume 2' CD. Later releases of the Vol.1 product included this update in the box.
