Alleyway é um tipo de paredão espacial. Você controla uma cápsula espacial que lança um projétil em direção a uma barreira, formada por pequenos retângulos. Cada retângulo atingido desaparecerá, e seu objetivo será eliminar todos os retângulos antes que eles cheguem à parte inferior da tela.

Ce soft est bien réalisé, avec une super musique genre Casino de Paris en 1937 et des bruitages sympas. Avec Alleyway, on arrive à bien s'amuser, mais cela reste, malgrès tout, un jeu de seconde zone par rapport aux grands hits sur Game Boy.

The graphics are nothing to brag about, but that is okay since different toned squares are basically all you will be looking at. Most of the sound effects are made by the ball hitting things so a small "ting" is what you hear the most. However, despite the simplicity and lack of variety, Alleyway is fun to play. Since the screen doesn't move, the game is easy to follow without requiring you to squint. Games of this type always play well on the Game Boy.

Nintendo tried hard to add its usual charm to this Breakout-style bat and ball game. The bat is a spaceship piloted by Mario, and some of the levels are shaped like Mario characters. You can do only so much with the genre, though, and while this'll pass some time, the superior DSiWare game Alphabounce is a better option in our humble opinion.

„Alleyway“ macht auch heute noch Spaß, keine Frage. Natürlich stinkt der Titel gegen modernere Breakout-Klone ab, aber das trübt den Grundspaß noch lange nicht. Um die 24 Stages zu bestehen, seid Ihr eine ganze Zeit lang beschäftigt und habt eine Menge zu tun, um am Leben zu bleiben. Die späteren Levels, in denen Eure Kugel häufig an unkaputtbaren Wänden abprallt – und womöglich Euer Raumschiff gleichzeitig kurzfristig kleiner wird – haben es in sich. Wer auf das Spielprinzip steht, kann für drei Euro durchaus zugreifen.

Alleyway had a goal that it achieved remarkably well. Its aim was to bring a serviceable block-breaking game to a fledgling new system, and it did just that and only that. There are no remarkable innovations or unique twists on the Breakout formula, and what it did add hardly made for a unique identity. Were it not for Mario cropping up now and again, it would have simply served its purpose and faded away, but putting gaming’s most famous hero in it earns it a few modern eyes looking back to see what Alleyway is all about. What they’ll find is a fairly repetitive but functional game that has the pieces to be mildly entertaining but not enough compelling elements to encourage real investment.

Alleyway starts off well with its smooth controls and inviting difficulty setting but after a while it becomes repetitive and seems to run out of ideas. The lack of challenge is disappointing and once you've beaten each stage there's very little reason to ever return to the game.
A portable Arkanoid without the weapons. While it has scrolling boards and bonus boards, there is really nothing special about the game. It's just another paddle game that's screaming for power-ups or some kind of enhancement.

Der Spieler baut in altbekannter Marnier mit einem Ball und dem Schläger eine Reihe Ziegelsteine ab. Leider haben die Nintendo-Programmierer, die sonst für brilliantes Spieldesign bekannt sind, ein wesentliches Spielelement vergessen: Die Extras, die das angegraute Spielprinzip so richtig würzen. Auch wenn ein paar nette Ideen (ganze Mauern scrollen waagerecht über den Schirm) drin sind: ein schaler Duft weht um das sonst nicht üble Modul.

Overall, this is a very simple game that will likely keep your attention for 10-15 minutes max. There is very little sense of progression and the sound and music is quite poor. I would recommend this game for gamers needing to take a Number 2, but leave the game in the bathroom when you are done!

There are better versions by far of this brick breaking genre and better games available on the Virtual Console service. If you are a fan of the game or just an avid Nintendo collector this is the only real reason I can see to own this game. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this title.

What a bore. Screen after screen of boring bricks to knock away, and hardly any variety. If this had a couple of power ups it might okay. As it stands it's about as exciting as watching paint dry. If you're having trouble getting to sleep, play this - it's more powerful than any sleeping tablet!

Gra Alley Way to dziś zabytek, w czasach Gameboy Advance właściwie niegodny uwagi. Warto jednak wiedzieć, że kiedyś taka gra trafiła do sklepów. A nuż ktoś w przyszłości zechce ją nam wcisnąć po raz kolejny?
