Dragon (Jun, 1990)
The graphics are crisp and extremely well-defined on-screen. In fact, the addition of digitized sound - especially when an enemy soldier is hit - makes the game just a little bit better than the PC/MS-DOS version. The only drawback to the Amiga format is that the game is approximately half as fast as the PC/MS-DOS version.
The most interesting aspect of Breach 2 is that it is the first in a new IDG system of interlocking games. You'll be able to use your squad-leader in Omnitrend's next spaceship game to be released soon. The numerous improvements to the original game, not only in gameplay but also visually and aurally have made Breach 2 a slick and elegant game to play.
Breach 2 is a thoroughly absorbing close combat simulation which will appeal to general game players as well as hardened strategy addicts.
A newer revision, and one which fits into Rules of Engagement as a tactical subset thereof. Easy to learn and fun to play, it is reminiscent of SSI's Six Gun Shoot-Out, but moved from the Old West to Outer Space. A design-your-own scenario option and on-line availability of scenarios makes this a continuing "fresh" product.
Amiga Power (May, 1991)
Loved Laser Squad? Then you'll probably take a shine to Breach 2.
