ACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment) (Jul, 1988)
Poor graphics - perhaps understandably since a two-player universe is a bit of a programming mouthful. For the same reason we should perhaps forgive the lack of map features, dreary sound, and awkward gameplay - forgive, OK, but forget, no.
The Games Machine (UK) (Jun, 1988)
Galactic Invasion is probably the most irritating game yet released on the Amiga, with its chief advantage lying in its two-player mode which lets each player keep out of the other's way to lessen the aggravation of enemy attack. (...) Not a product to give to one's worst enemy - he might ask you to play it with him...
Amiga User International (Jun, 1988)
Galactic Invasion looks unimpressive but its worst point is that it is just so boring! Absolutely no excitement, tension or atmosphere is created and as a result is a real chore to play, from start to finish.
Your Amiga (Jun, 1988)
The game is basically a futuristic dog fight and as such can be played either against the computer, a human opponent or even someone at the other end of a modem! (...) As such, the game probably works best if you are playing against a human opponent. I found that the computer tended to win too easily although a lot of that is likely to be my own cackhandedness.
