The Crucial Entertainment CD release of this game contains a 34 page book in pdf format entitled England Under Edward 1 written by Jennifer Hawthorne. This describes English history after the Norman Conquest through to Edward I whose reign is covered in some detail. It also covers the development of castles in the medieval period with maps of some of the more famous ones, warfare, and the structure of society in those times.
