Slightly blocky, but well animated graphics make the game a visual treat, and the sheer versatility of the package adds more than a bit of lasting power. A basketballer's dream.
Commodore User (Sep, 1989)
This isn't a game which appeals only to die-hard basketball fans, it's too good for that. Everything about it is of a high quality, and it is exceedingly well programmed.
A vast range of options and good graphics are marred by minimal sound effects and a slow loader. Not the easiest simulation to begin with, but it proves very rewarding after a few games.
Amiga Joker (Oct, 1989)
The manual was found to be extremely thorough. The game play as well as the real-life aspects of the game seem to be covered completely. Overall, this game is a must for the sports simulation and statistical buff as well as the multi-player game fan. The game also takes into account whether the player is a "joystick jockey" or not and allows a set-up where strategy is the main concern. Considering the expandability factor and the flexibility in game play, SportTime's Omni-Play Basketball is tops!
