Amiga Action (May, 1991)
Although I certainly recommend this game, do be careful as it isn't as in depth as some strategic fans might like.
Amiga Format (May, 1991)
Warlords is a deep and challenging game that can be picked up almost from the word go. It does take a long time to play, but that will be a bonus, rather than a disadvantage, to the serious wargamer.
CU Amiga (May, 1991)
Warlords is extremely simple and very playable. There's no challenge here for experienced wargamers, but I'd definitely recommend this for amateurs.
Power Play (May, 1991)
Raze (May, 1991)
The eight-player aspect adds a refreshing dimension to an otherwise very simple wargame. The one player game is still challenging, and if you've got a handful of friends to play, all the better.
Amiga Computing (Jun, 1991)
Unless you've got a really deep-rooted hatred of wargames, Warlords is very definitely worth checking out. It will not appeal to everyone, but if you persevere with it you'll find it to be a real cracker of a game.
The game doesn't seem to gel as a great strategy, and although many D&D type wargamers will love this type of game, it is not a mainstream product. The graphics are, at best, described as appropriate for the setting, but not amazing, and sound likewise. I would certainly recommend a test drive before buying.
Amiga Joker (Apr, 1991)
