Fraction-oids

Fraction-oids is an arcade fraction learning game.

The player must control a space shuttle that can move left and right, as it travels through a field of asteroids, attempting to reach an alien planet. The shuttle is armed with a deflector beam which can repel small and medium sized asteroids, but not the larger ones. Displayed at the bottom of the screen is the fuel gauge, distance to the alien planet, and the name of the planet.

The shuttle has limited fuel, and must pick up fuel as they explore. Each time it lands on a fuel space, the player must correctly answer a math question which has the player identify the largest or smallest of 4 fractions. If done correctly, the fuel gauge increases. As the shuttle closes in on the alien planet, it will appear on the screen, and the player must quickly move to its location, or risk having to repeat the level. The player loses fuel as they travel or if they hit an asteroid.

If the shuttle runs out of fuel, the player must abandon their vessel and launch a new one, with the player having a total of nine vessels. All aliens need to be gathered before that occurs.
