Appleseed the Online

Appleseed the Online is an MMO based on the manga and anime releases by Masamune Shirow. It was not seen outside of Japan and only survived through a limited beta period before shutting down the following year.

Players belong to one of the three major forces and spent the prescribed action points from over 400 missions daily to unify the world. The results of actions are tabulated every day, and the world situation changes every week. Changes in the situation were also announced on the web page, and new missions will be published in magazines according to the situation.

Players can also participate in the "Landmate Coliseum", which is a battle between "Landmates", who are popular among Appleseed mechanics. Tournament-style matches are held every day, and if a player win the prize, they will receive resources as prize money.
