This certainly is as good as anything else on offer in the world of the sit-ins. The only serious problem with it is likely to be that its challenge may prove a little bit too tough — and expensive — for the Sunday drivers amongst you. Not recommended for the Mark Thatchers of the world.
Sinclair User (Dec, 1989)
Pretty good racing/rally game with the added advantage of being able to link up with other units. Not Bad!
Your Sinclair (Dec, 1989)
All very well, but how does it play? Pretty blooming well, actually. Though the graphics aren't as polished as in Chase HQ, say, and the sprites are in general a lot blockier, they do the job well enough, and the speed of the game more than makes up for it. Big Run fills the screen with the sharpest of bends, trickiest of mountain passes and bumpiest of road surfaces — it sent me skidding and crashing all over the place! It's expensive (a pound a shot) and it's hardly as though racing games are thin on the ground, but for all that it's a lot of fun. Worth a try, at least.
Power Play (Mar, 1990)
3D-Rally-Autorennen mit mäßigem Spielreiz.
Zero (Dec, 1989)
I've a few complaints though. Chiefly that the graphics seem a touch blocky and crude, but it all runs fast and while Big Run won't break any barriers it will win a fair few friends, I think. It's certainly more playable than Outrun. Give it a go anyway.
